That would actually make a ton of sense although it is more likely that they created a bunch of backup clones in case some of the bad batch happened to end up like 99. And either crosshair was one of those back ups or he’s the only backup that survived
I didnt cry for heavy, because he went out as a hero. It wasnt a sad moment, but rather a moment of pride and valor. Heavy lived his best arch so to say. Clone99 overcame all odds and also died a hero, but the circumstance it happend in made it more emotional (for me)
Do not forget, when the Bad batch rescued Gregor and asked if they were CCs and they answered eith CT-99, gregor knew they were defective, so my guess would be the CT-99XX were reserved for clones with "Mutations" like 99 or the Bad batch.

I strongly agree that Clone Force 99 was named after the Clone CT-9900 because of the fact he showed he was a true soldier and to save his comrades sacrificed himself to save them, i believe that because of this, it may have spread through the Clone Facility therefor the name Clone Force 99 was to honor the trooper. Thats what i believe, i agree with the guy who made this video and what he said about it.
this is a really good theory, the idea that 99 was a failed first attempt at trying to make clones with unique and abnormal characteristics and behaviors makes so much sense. It’s cool to think that in a way 99 made it so that hunter, tech and the rest of the bad batch could became the unique and elite troopers that we see in the show.

Hunter may not be the best strategist, but he is still a great leader when it comes to managing his squad, even when they have better ideas. That's what makes a good leader. You don't have to be the best, you have to be humble and wise.

i think that clone force 99 adopted the term "defective" because of 99. They themselves were not really defective as their mutations were clearly intentional. But what they had in common with 99 was that they were both different.
In Republic commando the video game delta squad were given a clone advisor so maybe 99 would’ve been that, I do also love those fan arts and comics where they show 99 being close to the bad batch and I would assume that when he died it was hard for them

I think Crosshair's personality querks made him more vulnerable. The independent nature of clone force 99 made them all less vulnerable and more able to resist the chips. However, Crosshair had a much colder personality making him more willing to obey an assassination order.

I always had a bit of "what if'ism" in my head lately. What if, clone force 99 wasn't Omega's brothers but actually her sons. As in they took a ovary from Omega and pulled/used some eggs from it. I know she is under puberty but they are cloners, its with in there tech. I know she is there sister in cannon but she was there before they were born. The what if could be, time line wise.
I think it’s entirely possible he was the original member but he aged so much faster than the rest of them. I think his mutation would’ve also made him a great leader because of the compassion he had. I think he probably would’ve led from the back though, knowing how to utilize his squad mates. Maybe a sniper role or something? And he’d be above and could call out the best placements for his squad and let them know enemy positions. I do think he definitely always had the limp and that’s why he was retired, I could totally see an older clone still being in a leadership position otherwise.
I think the answer is obvious. 9900, was the first clone with severe mutation. He was the inspiration for the cloners to make more mutants who would actually be soldiers. The other four were the only successes. I imagine they probably wouldn't let poorly mutated clones live. The moral questions only get deeper.

I would say that 99 was the prototype for the bad batch, because i think his deformations are way to overboard in my opinion. I think the kaminoans tried to do these mutations that we have with the bad batch with 99 as the first and essentially f*cked it up, but perfected theirs mistakes with hunter, tech, wrecker and crosshairs. It would also make sense why they keep 99 around as a warning that purposefully changing the fett dna can potentially have disasterous conseques, if you are not careful, as seen with him cause he is just the clone version of the humpback of notre dam. My only complaint is that if he was made as the 1st batch of 99 clones surly we would have seen multiple 99 clones as Umbara, Kamino, Geanosis or Rylof. Not saying ur theory couldn’t be true ( and trust me I hope it is ) it just wouldn’t make 100%

No, Crosshair isnt made later on. Its al explained. The Bad Batch are altered clones but not deformed. 99 was deformed and thus not used as a commando. The next batch they used all they knew and made a succesfull altered group
