Seville, capital of Andalusia, Roman, Arab, Renaissance, Baroque, American, Flemish city, city of bulls, modern city, city of celebrations, of light, perfumed city, sailor, traditional, hospitable, funny, cosmopolitan, religious, devoted to the Virgin... All these adjectives and more describe the typical facet of what is considered "Andalusian" or even "Spanish". In addition, it presents an infinity of artistic, cultural, leisure, social and tourist attractions that have made it one of the most universal cities, and the best known and visited in the world, it represents the cradle and place of inspiration for many writers, painters and artists in general.
It seems difficult to find in a big city so many varied and original monuments as well as places of exceptional beauty such as the Giralda, the Cathedral, los Reales Alcázares (the King's castles), the Torre del Oro ( the Golden Tower), el Patio de los Naranjos, the Maestranza, the House of Pilate, the Spanish Steps, the Park of María Luisa, the Theater of the Maestranza, the Palace of San Telmo, the Archivo de Indias , the Barrio de Santa Cruz, la Lonja, the Archdiocese, the Tobacco Factory, the Town Hall, the Palace of las Dueñas, the Don Fadrique Tower, the Walls, the Basilica of the Macarena, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Alameda de Hércules, the Triana district, the Guadalquivir bridges, the Charterhouse and the installations of Expo 92, the buildings of the 1929 Exposition, the House of Luca de Tena, the patios of its traditional houses, balconies and window bars, a large number of churches, convents and other elements that turn its historic center into an open-air museum.
Moreover, with its bars, its gastronomy, its parties and the sense of humor and hospitality of its inhabitants, Seville constitutes a whole filled with colors, light, music, cheerfulness, and at the same time dramatic. , traditional and modern, hard to match.
Seville Cathedral :
The Holy, Metropolitan and Patriarchal Cathedral Church of Santa María de la Sede y de la Asunción de Sevilla; better known as Seville Cathedral, it is a Gothic-style Catholic temple. UNESCO declared it in 1987, together with the Real Alcázar and the Archivo de Indias, a World Heritage Site and, on July 25, 2010, an Asset of Outstanding Universal Value. In 1988 the Guinness Book of Records certified that it was the largest cathedral in the world.
According to tradition, construction began in 1401, although there is no documentary evidence of the start of work until 1433. The building was built on the site that remained after the demolition of the old Aljama mosque in Seville, whose minaret (the Giralda ) and patio (Patio de los Naranjos) are still preserved.
One of the last important works carried out took place in 2008 and consisted of the replacement of 576 ashlars that made up one of the great pillars that support the temple, with new stone blocks with similar characteristics, but with much greater resistance. This difficult work was possible thanks to the use of innovative technological systems that showed that the building suffered daily oscillations of 2 cm as a result of the expansion of its materials. In 2017 it received 1,934,373 visitors, making it the most visited monument in Spain.

Sono stato a Siviglia nel 1992 in occasione dell'EXPO .Questa città è la quintessenza del fascino e della bellezza. Per mancanza di tempo, visitai solo in parte la superba grandiosa cattedrale, ora tramite questo bel video ho potuto vederla tutta. Il resto di questa magnifica città serba altre meraviglie, ma per visitare tutto occorre più di un giorno. Grazie all'autore per avermi fatto rivedere un po di Siviglia.

Znam Hiszpanię, zwiedziłam ją bardzo pracowicie. Uwielbiam Madryt( cudowne Prado),stare Toledo nad Tagiem,zachwycająca jest Barcelona (z mistyczną sięgającą nieba twórczością Gaudiego),urzeka Alhambra w słońcu poranka i nocą, Salamanka starym Uniwersytetem, ale naprawdę Sewilla jest kwintesencją hiszpańskości.Sewilla po prostu zachwyca. Ogrom przepotężnej katedry, jej cudowne wnętrze, bogate muzeum katedralne pozostaje w pamięci na całe życie. W Sewilli co krok odkrywamy piękne architektoniczne perełki. A gołębie w Sewilli są białe (naprawdę).

This video brings back to my memory lane, my sole visit to Spain in 1996, thank u. After arriving Madrid, we went straight to Seville by a speed train. Plaza de Espana was d first stop of all d organized sight seeing in Andalusia, Spain. I was amazed n overwhelmed by d architecture n beauty. We also visited d Seville cathedral n also many other beautiful UNESCO world heritage sites in Madrid n Granada.
Plaza Espana was closed for restoration during our visit n we were unable to cross d bridge n see d interior n exterior from a close distance. I was hoping to see d souvenir shops around a beautiful courtyard where I bought a lovely ceramic plate from Seville, but I didn't see it from this wonderful video. D courtyard has lovely seating areas covered with beautiful tiles n shady trees. I also didn't see d Seville bitter orange trees that r lined by d street. But it's a lovely surprise to see d flamenco dance performance in front of d Plaza de Espana. We saw d flamenco dance performance in Granada.

IMHO the most beautiful city of Spain, and one of the top 5 in Europe. It deserves much more videos. 1 & 1/2 hour video is not enough, you had to skip so many interesting spots

Es una pena que no se vea el Alcázar, la subida a la Giralda, el interior de Patio de los Naranjos de la catedral, los restos de muralla y un montón de cosas más. Es una visión muy limitada a una zona demasiado concreta. Hay más que ver en Sevilla. De todas formas, muy bonito el vídeo. Gracias.

Sevilla es bellisima, pero no puedes decir "la ciudad más bella de andalucía", porque hay demasiadas ciudades preciosas , y es muy subjetivo, solo por eso no le doy

No es subjetivo, soy malagueño y no hay ciudad ya no en Andalucia sino en España y muy pocas en Europa que tengan la suerte de contar con semejante catedral con un símbolo en ella como la Giralda, al lado el archivo de indias y el Alcázar de Sevilla con sus increíbles jardines, por no hablar de las más de 100 iglesias, plazas, parque de María Luisa de los más bellos de Europa etc etc para gustos colores, está claro, pero Sevilla tiene pocas ciudades en Europa que se le acerque en belleza e historia, así que en Andalucia no la hay más bella
@@jaimegarcia9408 Lo se, estuve en Sevilla y tambien en Granada que tiene La Alhambra, y en Córdoba que Tiene la Mezquita- Catedral, y en Cadiz, que es la cuidad más antigua de Europa occidental, y toda ella es una maravilla, y en Santiago con la catedral de Santiago apostol, o en Barcelona donde está la Sagrada familia (por mencionar una sola cosa), y así mismo podría enumerarte una por una todas las ciudades de España y nunca acabaría.

por supuesto, el dia a dia no siempre es maravilloso en ningun lugar en el mundo, verdad? por eso nos vamos de vacaciones para cambiar de aire pero Sevilla es un buen lugar para vivir. No es una ciudad muy grande, es una ciudad muy agradable, tiene una buena vida cultural y social. No es una ciudad nada aburrida, mas bien lo contrario. Ya te digo que Sevilla nunca defrauda... saludos
