    Small correction, and you did say that Garrosh only won because of the poison, but uh, Cairne was actually giving Garrosh a whooping, easily. So, for all his prowess, he was still not technically a match for Cairne.

    • @tnecniw
      @tnecniw 7 месяцев назад +37

      Yep.
      If I remember correctly, the only reason (even with the poison) that Garrosh won, was because Cairne's spear broke.
      Because EVEN with a poisoned weapon, was he not even touching Carine, not even a scratch.
      But with one swing, (after Garrosh was essentially beaten black and blue) he managed to shatter the handle of Cairne's ancestral spear, which allowed his axe to slice downward and gently scratch Cairne.
      We are talking like a cat scratch.
      That was it.
      If the spear had held, Cairne would have won, without even taking a single nick.

      One could say, that Garrosh wasn't still used to fight with Gorehowl, since he used to fight with two small axes. And he only recieved his fathers axe, when he returned from Northrend and got it as a reward from Thrall

    • @Justin-tc3xh
      @Justin-tc3xh 7 месяцев назад +2

      As i remember Cairne had garrosh in a state where all he could do was block counter or take indecisive blows. But the strike where garrosh poisened him sure it was a glancing blow and cairne would have been fine sans poison, but that one strike also SHATTERED cairnes spear. So idk garrosh was never really in too bad of a spot, and if the fight continues it was an unarmed or possibly armed with a broken spear Cairne vs. Garrosh with Gorehowl who was the one that just broke said spear.

    Cairne should have gotten a spot on this list, I'd say he would've been as strong as or maybe even stronger than Varian. Remember that during his mak'gora, he was kicking Garrosh's behind until he suffered a seemingly small cut that let the poison weaken him greatly.
    As for Varian, I don't know if he should've been mentioned since he actually was blessed by the Ancient Goldrinn, who granted him increased strenght, speed, reflexes and even sense of smell. So magic does have something to do with his abilities.

    24:30 the reason the scourge weren't able to revive Galakrond wasn't because his bones were "too big" it was because the player character stops it from happening via a quest to take out the scourge at the location before they even finish excavating the skeleton. When you turn in the final part of the quest, the dragon aspects even say you saved everyone from "certain" death, meaning it was a certainty that the scourge would have successfully revived Galakrond had you not intervened. Thrall did NOT cheat and that’s been confirmed. The rules of a mak’ gora are set by the two participants and if no rules are specified you can throw the entire kitchen sink if you want. No to mention Thrall and Garrosh had already had another mak’gora before where Thrall also used the elements and Garrosh never said anything about it

    • @troodon1096
      @troodon1096 9 дней назад

      Essentially Mak'gora allows anything not specifically agreed on not to use before the battle. So Thrall did not cheat. Neither agreed that magic was not to be used.
      I would also say Garrosh did not cheat against Cairne Bloodhoof (Magratha Grimtotem did, without Garrosh's knowledge or approval. He made it very clear to her that he didn't approve once he found out, refusing to aid her in her siege of Thunder Bluff, allowing Baine and his forces to take back the city. I hate Garrosh but I will give him credit for this much.)
      And Sylvanas did not cheat against Varok Saurfang (though it hardly mattered, since her victory didn't benefit her, since it cost her the support of the Horde and even most of the Forsaken. I doubt she cared; I'm pretty sure since Baine openly defied her she knew her leadership of the Horde was inevitably going to end anyway. But she no longer needed the Horde for her purposes anymore.)

He was completely dominating him until a glancing blow broke his spear, he got a TINY scratch, and then the poison weakened him enough for Garrosh to take the win. Also, why isn't BROXIGAR THE CHAD number 1? He literally wounded a TITAN while standing upon a mountain of demons he had slain. I can't think of any feat that would rival that from a non magic user. Garrosh also dueled Thrall during the time of WOTLK pré patch. I'm not sure if Blizzard planned well the ore for this fight, but they were both using armor and Thrall was using shaman spells. Still, Garrosh was holding his ground. The duel happened in Orgrimmar's arena and was interrupted by a Scourge invasion
    Thrall could basically 1 shot Garrosh in WOD because he trained a freaking lot to be basically one of the strongest shamans in Azeroth. If the fight was just pure physical strenght Thrall would've lost. I know Makgora (I don't know how to spell and I'm feeling lazy to search) can accept enchanted weapons and the use of spells, but as it appeared this duel between them was limited to muscle strength only. So Thrall needed to "cheat" to defeat Garrosh and that shouldn't be a surprise. A warrior/barbarian would naturally be stronger than a shaman

    On Magni, I specifically remember a part from a short story from Cataclysm where Thrall is basically connected to the elements and he hears a dwarven voice singing in the mountains of Dun Morogh or something, which is of course implied to be Magni, who was also one with the land at that point.
    Some peak dwarf stuff

    WHERE IS DUROTAN?
    How magic of Axe of Cenarius is not magic gain?
    He is not mechanically forged, but literally druidically created from wood by Malfurion and enchanted by Cenarius. Cenarius even said that the enchantment on the ax makes him light as a feather and strong as a diamond. Remember the battle between Brox and Varo'then, if not for the light ax, Varo'then most likely would have killed the orc.
    If the ax had not been enhanced by magic, Brox simply would not have lived to see Sargeras.
    You added Garrosh-mag'har to the list before Ysha-heart, but did not add Grommash before drinking blood, who was a legendary warrior on Draenor before the creation of the First Horde.

  • @TheNarghes
    @TheNarghes 7 месяцев назад

    I hardly disagree with #1 Galakrond. Yes, he was huge and devastating, BUT he was infused with Old Gods (Yogg Saron) which made him big, huge, necrotic magic infused dragon. Even if he was just a huge physical dragon, proto-dragons are evolved elements. Basicly they're pure elements evolved into physical form, still infused with one of most amounts of magic. Broxxigar is #1

  • @YourTheManNowDawg
    @YourTheManNowDawg 17 дней назад

    Wouldn't Sargeras be #1? He didn't need magic to cleave an entire planet in half, just a really, really big sword.

  • @s1os2s3

    One thing. I know it is 1 month too late and I have always brought this plothole whenever Broxigar and his nickname was brought up. Demon blood is not red. I repeat.....DEMON BLOOD IS NOT RED. So, his name should be Broxigar the Purple or Broxigar the Green.

  • @francescogiacovelli8468
    @francescogiacovelli8468 7 месяцев назад

    I agree with everybody saying that Brox should be #1 and that Cairne deserved a spot, but... why is nobody talking about Grom or Orgrim?
    I mean, between Grom and Garrosh, Grom definetely was stronger. Sure he drank Mannoroth's blood, but when he faces Mannoroth in the original time line, the demon's blood has no effect on orcs anymore (they were abbandoned by this power when captured and enslaved by humans, then Thrall restored their spirit thanks to shamanism and the proof to that is that, even after Mannoroth is killed, orcs remain green skinned, even if they are 100% free from the curse) and he basically one shotted him, the most powerful pit lord and one of the most powerful demons known. Just think about the fact that the Doomhammer did NOTHING against him and he KOed Thrall so easily.
    Then in alternative time line he still manages to oneshot him again without drinking his blood.
    Then about Orgrim he just killed both Blackhand (so why isn't him automatically above him?) and Anduin, two of the most powerful warriors in wow lore

    "Arguably cheating"
    Nah, Thrall using magic isn't cheating. That's nonsense from the movie.
    What *IS* cheating, which both of them were: Wearing Armor, No Witnesses.
    No one said anything about Thrall cheating during the Makgora during the Scourge Invasion (the kind that does not lead to death) where Thrall was slinging chain lightnings and spirit wolves around and giving Garrosh the business.

  • @thewalrus45
    @thewalrus45 5 месяцев назад

    Yeah I wouldn't call Galakrond a non-magic character. Beyond the general magic that Dragons seem to all have he was empowered by Yogg-Saron and infused with both Void and Death Magics which led to him mutating in the first place.

    As much as I like Garrosh, saying that he beat Cairne is just plain wrong. Garrosh got in only one small cut that poisoned Cairne which led to him become unable to fight back and thus Garrosh slew him with the next attack. However, prior to said cut, Cairne was whooping Garrosh's ass with ease. It was completely one sided. Knowing how powerful Garrosh was and how he had clashes with Varian numerous times, just shows how powerful Cairne was despite his advanced age.

  • @TheRealCeeJai

    23:00 WTH is Galakrond on this list?! You even acknowledge 'until a change took place in him that is currently unknown' yet we DO know that it was magic of some kind that gave him his appetite, size, and power far beyond other dragons. There is no reason he should have even been considered for this list, let alone take the top spot.

    I personally wouldn't put Varyan not Garrosh over black hand, seeing how was under blackhan's leadership that the horde destroyed and sacked stormwind, forcing Varyan himself to flee and reaching a far greater power then Garrosh ever did.
    Edit: And blackhand did all this being a mag'har himself

  • @Beargrin89
    @Beargrin89 5 месяцев назад

    Thrall did not cheat. The first mak’gora they had, Thrall threw lightning bolts without anyone protesting.
    There was also no blessing, no official witnesses, and both still had armor.
    Granted, a mak’gora’s rules are decided by the two combatants, but with how the narrative was carried out? It seems as if the two just decided to fight and end it there.
