This is how I was taught to sew clothing when I was young. My grandmother was a tailor and made all her own suits in the 30-40's - I did the same in the 70-80's. Fabulous video! Thank you for sharing with everyone.

I did the same technique for the back of dress that was small for me. Instead of buttons I just used loops on both sides and used a lace that I made to draw it up.

It would have been helpful if you showed how you shortened the sleeves and downsized the width to fit. Instead you pulled the shirt from behind to give it the appearance of a well fit project. 😮

HOWEVER - Skirts with no pockets? What do you have against women, sir? Would you make men's pants without pockets?
