  • In this Portaria summer evening walk, we begin our journey at the scenic Path of the Centaurs, where many visitors enjoy the cool dew under the imposing plane trees that dominate the area. We then walk uphill, passing by grand old mansions of Portaria, now transformed into a hotel and a folklore museum. Continuing through picturesque streets and corners, we encounter charming cafes and pass the Portaria Town Hall.
Our path leads us to the bustling main square at 20:00, filled with locals and tourists enjoying their coffee, drinks, or meals on this beautiful Saturday night out. At 23:20, we meet a cautious cat before heading uphill again, where we see two impressive souvenir shops on our right and more cafes and restaurants filled with visitors. We conclude our walk at the historic chapel of Panagia Portarea at 29:00.
The chapel of Panagia Portarea, built in the first half of the 13th century, stands as one of the most significant religious monuments in Portaria. Its murals date back to 1581, and its intricately carved wooden iconostasis was constructed in the early 18th century. As we admire the chapel from the outside, we are transported back in time, enveloped by an atmosphere of nostalgia. The chapel shares its yard with the church of Agios Nikolaos, located adjacent to it.

Hi! New sub here. Interesting walk in a beautiful place.
If you don't mind, here are some tips from someone who watches many, many walking and travel videos. Who knows, something here may be useful.
Many new walk-vloggers do the following: fast panning, which can make people feel nausea as in motion sickness; too much slow panning to all sides as they go along; and akin to that is walking too slowly; spending too long focused on points of interest (we can pause the video if we want to study something); too much face time; too much talking; using a background music track (people have different preferences); and worst of all, talking over music; and then there is the one that is my pet peeve - making videos too long. Another bad idea is using clickbait thumbnails that include cute or sexy females - I always block people who do that, many people do.
The general idea is if you call it a walk get out there and walk - at a normal pace, moving forward and maybe occasionally stopping or panning to the side for a point of interest.
Keezi Walks is an example of someone who always moves forward and almost never looks aside. Gabriel Traveler is one who talks a lot and often has the camera on his face, and he often has jerky, seemingly random camera movement. Somehow both have done well. It takes all kinds. Prowalk Tours is another who has developed good methods but his videos are often a bit too long. I can always find something to criticize in anyone's videos, lol.
You are getting most of it right, by my standards, that's a great start. Good luck growing your channel!

Hello and thank you very much for taking the time to give me such detailed feedback and tips about walking videos. From what you mention as negative points, I guess I am going too slow at times and focusing a lot on some sights or buildings for too long. I will try to correct that. I am always open to constructive and well-meant criticism, and I am thankful to you for helping me out in my first steps with my channel. I really appreciate your kindness and support; you are truly giving me the courage to continue improving my walking videos! 😊
