In 1941 James Sego began singing as a young teenager with his brother and sister Lamar and Blondean. They were known as the Sego Family. By 1946, James and his brothers, W R and Lamar, had started a quartet they called the Harmony Kings. James Sego met Naomi in 1948 and they were married the following year. Naomi then began to occasionally sing with the quartet, now billed as the Sego Brothers. In 1959 Naomi joined the group as a permanent member and the group was renamed Sego Brothers and Naomi. In my opinion, her voice made that group popular in the late 50's. Beautiful, God given voice. I loved their song "Sorry I Never Knew You".

I disagree. The Sego Brothers and Naomi made it popular long before the Spencers. I grew up in the early 60s listening to this song on one of their albums.

You have to take into consideration that we didn’t have RUclips back then to see all these Legendary performances.
