Oh My G-word - this is sublime playing. Amazing performance by the legendary Marie-Claire Alain, on a wonderful baroque-voiced organ. In love with this! Thank you SO much for posting (even though it reminds of my own pains as a student organist trying to master these wretchedly difficult trio sonatas!).
This piece sounds almost mechanical, not in a negative way but just with how complex it is. The counterpoint is so sophisticated it sounds almost like a machine.
Hi! First of all thank you for the amazing work: it's very helpful !! I'm a bit confused ar 05:48 on the score it's a A natural at the bass no ? we hear a B flat instead, which doesn't work well. Same thing happens at 09:39
Beautiful piece, good performance, but the registration or the organ could be better: Pipes oftentimes do not speak precisely and quickly enough and lack lower frequencies. The dominance of high harmonics make it difficult to follow the notes.
That creates the mystery: never in my life have I enjoyed overtones more, and even somehow the opposite side of my phone was emitting the sound of this recording at the same volume as the speaker on the opposite side was doing. The 2nd partial harmonic of the middle voice is just mesmerizing-let it shine!
8:36 why break up the playback bar here? Everywhere else it's moving over sustained notes, and the music seems to be aligned metrically, so is it really necessary?
I love the composition, actually this is my favourite of the six Trio Sonatas, but, for sure, the interpretation is definetly too fast and it loses the essence of Bach's music inner voicing.
That introduction is perhaps the jolliest organ phrase I have ever heard.
Wow! What a mind this man must have had to write this, and what a heart.... and how faultlessly played....
涙が止まりません。幼少期の時の思い出の曲。何回も聴かせていただきたいです。

BWV 529: Trio Sonata No.5は人類が産み出した最も美しい音楽の一つ。
Thank you so much for this video! And such an incredible work by J.S.!
Fantastic Piece.
Another race to the finish. I cannot believe that Bach would have wanted such a beautiful piece as this played so fast!
Bach ist der Herr und Meister von Orgel / Bach is the Sir und Master of the Organ / Bach es el amo y señor absoluto del órgano, per secula seculorum!
Wow that low C is just amazing! When played It's like crushing my head into a wall. XD

It's just the way it's being played here, MCA is not the most satisfying Bach interpreter for the modern listener
@@searchfgold6789: Actually, her playing is superb. 😎🎹
Great music. Thank you very much.
The second Alllegro sounds a lot like Tellemans concert for 4 violons in D major, especially at 11:03
Yes, I think Bach is quoting Telemann and then shows what can be done with the motif beyond its actual form, including Krebsgang and inversion
I really like the chiffy quintadena in the second movement.
Que belleza, mil gracias
Love it! Would be a great help if you posted the lute suites!! I love playing them and playing along to your videos!
Wonderful!
13:25 baseline ❤
I wish I knew the name of that high pitch flute pipe rank. It's absolutely beautiful.
Bravo bravo bravo
Beau comme le Ciel..
There's the wrong time in the description, the 3rd movement begins at 10:24
Thank you! The error has been corrected.
How on earth could anyone write this? Let alone play it...
Bach’s organ trio sonatas are nortoriously difficult, but so full of joy and good humor.

I've heard that second bar of Largo somewhere else but I can't remember where. Can somebody help me?
I think I found it. It's in the BWV 1063: Allegro in the Violin I and II part.

Which stops are used on positive manual in 3rd movement?
Well
It looks like you have your time stamps all messed up there, buddy!
Similar to viola da gamba sonata
Se desfasa la linea que sigue las 3 voces ojalá se pueda corregir gracias!

Aguantame si puedes... 🤫
Yo l@ disfruto 😘
sound like mario in the beginning😂
I think this would sound better if they had used 8' stops.

too fast ! too orgue de barbarie ! Too mechanic ! Pas beau là !
Sorry, but played too fast. As a result, the composition loses its inner beauty.
