Iron 883 mod series: Chopping the Iron 883 fender | Part 1
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 26 ноя 2020
- I continue the Harley Iron 883 Build series but chopping the fender and struts. I figure out how to remove the stock fender and chop a new fender to shape to get that custom bobber look. Once attached, I will get the bike working again before getting the fender ready for paint.

Great work! It's Awesome that you are going for it even if you don't know what you are doing at first
With the wheel on!!! Awesome job man!
Bobbing a Bobber, extreme concept. Thank you for the video, stay Florida 😎
My like for the video quality, your bravery and for making it your bike.
Thanks ✌️ It's getting there, still more to do!
Super well done.
Oh man you went all in!!!! Great job, I don’t have the cahonnes to chop off part of the frame!!!!
Nice work! thanks!
Please do a video on what you did with the fender. What you kept and how you cut it to be able to mount it. Been trying to find a good tutorial video on chopping them. Maybe you can use the old fender to show and example. Can use a magic eraser to map out the cut if you’re not wanting to cut it. Love the video.
Good idea, I can put that in part 2
good job on that fender, it loop\s pretty bad ass
To not be a mechanic, someone sure left a lot of tools at your garage! 😂 Bike is looking sick bro! Love the videos!!
haha I might have a slight tool obsession!
Making me feel like I should chop the fender and struts myself now. Was unsure before but this video served as the confidence for it
Great video! Thanks for showing the details that you did.
Where did you get the replacement fender? And what seat do you have?
Nice
nice bike
Great vid. I am not certain why Harley chose to put the rear tail lights on using that type bolt, but I found it aggravating as hell. It makes no sense to me, but w/e. Great job on the bike.
Sweet
did you add the plastic cover from the old fender to the new one to protect the electrics on the inside underneath? difficult to see in the vid - you kinda went from filing to it installed? nice clean job tho mate! Also what rear fender is this?
You rode the bike without seat post nut?.the one under the seat where oem seat ataches.i removed mine to fit the smaller seat but not sure to leave it without screw or to put flat screw in that hole. What do you think? Did you had any problems riding without that bolt?
Great video! Where di you buy the fender from?
Thank you!
Is it possible to cut the frame all the way leaving only the bolts that hold the suspension? I really want the Fender to be even shorter than this. Thanks for the vids!
Question, does cutting the struts void the warranty? Only thing stopping me right now from cutting.
Does your back get wet when there’s water on the road since you chopped the fender?
What are the torque specs for the front fender nuts? I’d like to remove my front fender
What finder did you order to chop
Did u have a template for the shape you cut new fender
Where's part two?
Where did you buy the fender ?
Where did you get the brake lights
Did you keep the fender struts?
Its looking good so far man. One thing that was driving me nuts was the chrome forks on my matte black Sportster. I actually bought some black car warp from Amazon and put it on the forks, made a big difference and was fairly cheap/easy to install. I'd recommend it for a cleaner look.
Great idea, that bothers me too and I haven’t found a solution yet! I’ll give that a look.
I don’t have the balls to cut my struts, it’s too permanent. I purchased my new 2021 iron to do this exact same thing to, but I can’t. I will have to find a used iron to make my custom beater.
At 57 years old I prefer stock .
Nice job! Subscribed, one cuestion; is there a way to removing the old turn signals with out cutting the wires?
Ya there is, it takes a bit longer to depin the connections and pull back the wire. Just more time consuming
tylni blotnik za wysoko pozdrawiam z Polski
Sickkkkk work dude ! Check my 883 build out
The young kids rode Triumphs. Old crippled men playing cops/bad guys ride HD etc. Sorry. My friends do...undignified. Well, age...Good job, anyway.
