A UFC Middleweight Championship bout between current champion Israel Adesanya and former Glory Middleweight and Light Heavyweight Champion Alex Pereira is set to headline UFC 281. The pairing previously met twice in kickboxing matchups. The first in April 2016 which Pereira won by unanimous decision. Their second meeting took place at Glory of Heroes 7 in March 2017 which Pereira won by third round knockout. Both have came a long way since then. Who you guys got? Let me know in the comments!

Yeah I’ve thought about that before. I think I will do that for my next extended promo although I’m not sure what fight my next extended promo will be for. We’ll see what gets announced for December but next promo will be normal 3 minutes or so for Dustin vs Chandler

I believe, that everyone has Izzy twisted, he is a safe fighter but he is not a scared one, he got beat up fighting Gastolom for the intern title, and weathered the storm, and I believe he will do the same in this fight, he will say, “I am prepared to die” then go out there and shock everyone.

There’s more adesanya clips in the promo but it’s impossible not to have it that way. There’s a really low amount of good quality clips out there of Alex in the UFC he only has 3 fights. I dug for a while trying to find as many good quality clips as I could to tell the story correctly. I absolutely love Alex but let’s be real he doesn’t speak English and there’s hardly any good clips of him in the UFC out there where as Israel has a ton of iconic lines and endless great footage so what did you expect?

What else do you expect? Adesanya has worked his way, he deserved all the attention and he has paid his dues in the UFC. And by the way, this fight UFC is putting him with Pereira is simply because they have no better person great enough to pair with Adesanya.

MMA "fans" are notorious for recency bias so based on the past couple of fights its easy to say Izzy is gonna get knocked out blah blah blah but as Izzy likes to say "you must have forgot", i think this fight will bring the best out of Izzy, his past opponents were not willing to engage & trade with him so people say his fights are "boring" whereas it takes 2 to tango anyway strap in kids this will be a wild one for sure. #AndStill
