This is a TAS (Tool Assisted Speedrun) of Wii Sports Golf. I used Dolphin emulator to slow down the game and enter in precise inputs frame by frame.
Made on Dolphin 5.0-11102
Rerecord count: 6,019
This project began on July 12th and ended on July 18th upon completion of the TAS.
FAQ:
Why did you miss 2 shots in Target Practice?
The requirement for platinum medal is 800 points. I could have either gone for eight 75-pointers and two 100-pointers or eight 100-pointers and two misses, but I found that missing shots was very fast and saved something like 2.5s over the other method.

I always love the golf target practice in Wii Sports.
What points did you choose for time start/end exactly? I think the RTA world record must be about 34 minutes done at the end of Murasaki's all sports platinum run. Crazy how much faster this is by comparisson, and how most of the time save comes by just getting everything first try, lol. Nice stuff as always, tendog. Big fan.
I corresponded the timing with RTA timing, so run starts when "Start" is pressed on the training mission, and ends on the first frame that the platinum medal appears (it actually fades in very gradually, so it was hard to find what should be considered the last frame). I don't think there are IL categories for each sports' training missions but I imagine that Murasaki could still save a lot of time in his golf split! And thanks, as well!

@@bsk2369 The platinum point requirement is 800, so he got 800 in the fastest time, which lead to a few shots being missed on purpose to save time.
He was going as fast as he could.

dont know if you know this, but if you press A right after it says “Chip in” in training, you dont have to wait a second to move on to the next round.

The great thing about a tas like this is that not as much can be done to really rig it. Just extra tries and precise positioning.

Why did he intentionally hit the ball in the water?
Because you don't need all 1000 points to get the Platinum medal. I believe it's 800 that you need. So, it's faster to miss by hitting into the water than to get more points.

Is there a reason for the order of the activities? Why have golf first?
If you mean for a TAS of all sports training platinum, I don't think it would matter which order you did them, unless you were trying to manipulate RNG

How did you do this? If recording with the wiimote doesn't work, what did you do to set this up?
I wonder how much faster it is to waste two putts on the last game compared to hitting the 75 target each time, I guess it’s faster
I actually found a new technique just a couple weeks after finishing this that might have made two 75s + eight 100s worth it, but at the time I wasn't able to hit the 75s fast enough. Still, the putts were really fast so it might not have made more than a ~0.75s difference. It was pretty close either way.
