      Percentage-wise, 1 person going vegan seems worthless. But to those thousand animals who survive because of it, it is an insane impact.

    Emily feeling all the stuff everyone on a diet have to experience: People like Bryce talking about diets as if you've not already set up a plan with a dietist or doctor... Some of us have conditions that makes us unsuitable for a vegan diet, some have allergies or intollerances. Just let her eat her chicken and rice, Bryce :D

    @3:15 I would love to have that Queso Dip. It took me awhile to find a low-cost cheese without Yellow #5 and #6 food dyes in it. Not to mention this looks like you can store it dry and just add water. Nice. I'd try this menu as I've reduced my meat and dairy consumption greatly already. I just need a few more things more to replace the meat and dairy. If I could find this Cheese, I would buy it.

    I always appreciate your measured, realistic approach. You're not militant like many many others which turns people off and they stop listening. Thanks.

    • @danopticon
      @danopticon 10 месяцев назад +1

      @Faine44 - In fairness, people with conservative, reactionary politics, or people who are simply unavailable to new information (who are often one and the same) will call anyone they’re opposed to “militant.”
      And then that becomes their excuse for behaving badly: “I know I shouldn’t be a little prick, but the people asking me to behave better are so MILITANT about it … so, come to think of it, they’re forcing me to be a little prick! They’re the ones responsible for my wretched behavior!”
      There’s no firm definition of what’s militant, plus it’s never unreasonable to ask someone to behave well, and it’s always unreasonable to behave poorly, so … people whining about the “militant do-gooders” are just grasping for reasons to continue being little pricks, and you just can’t win with those people.
      The best you can do is wait for life to deliver them some hard lessons about behaving better, and hope that snaps them into shape.

      that mindset depends on your point of view. the point of view for vegans are the animals, therefore we tend to make sure we tell everything about the animal industry. people like maya on stream (i love her, this is not a front) tend to make sure to keep an audience so she babies them with stuff like it's ok to eat lil, so on and so on. most vegans have been in on the stuff for years, decades, so babying audiences gets tiring while seeing the harm this industry causes. and again, she does an amazing job at advocating for less consumption, it's just all different perspectives. maybe that helps you understand it a bit better! :)

    The parts of a burger that gives the taste is the bun, the sauce and the veg. You don't need meat or animal products for any part of it, to get that great taste. You could even make that burger FODMAP-safe and retain the great taste, for those of you out there with IBS who wants to go vegan.

    something you should have a segment on while not the most interesting for stream maybe but very important is hygiene products i.e. hairwash, soaps, toothpaste, deodorant, and things of that natural and how to stay away from animal tested products in general because it is not often talked about. great series btw its gonna be sick! (also if you wanna add more to your explanations of the environmental effects of the meat industry you can talk about the amount of water it takes per cow per day and the destructive effects of that also that the waste they produce gets washed down drains that go right into the ocean where it then absolutely destroys that whole section of ocean
    the average american spends roughly $300,000 lifetime on animal based food products not including all other animal based products of which there are a lot as mentioned)

    See that's why I tried the burger king impossible whopper after watching you, b/c I want t know. I've had vegetarian friends. Even tho I do eat meat. If I'm in the company of friends or social setting, co-workers. I'm going t be respectful. So I want t know going in what options n will i like it.
    I thought you did great. Super fun, super good story. I wish we had those here. But I don't try them just t copy you, I'm just curious n sometimes I may choose the veggie burger even by myself. But also so I go into situations prepared.

    I enjoy eating certain animals (cows/sheep/deer) and would never give up eating them for that reason but I do enjoy a meat free meal now and then.
    Although I don't think any meal I eat would constitute as vegan, only vegetarian but a varied diet is Important to me so I am always looking for meal ideas as long as I'm not preached at (beware the preachers) so I will give this video a go as I've really enjoyed your content so far and hopefully will for a while longer.

      fully depends on your diet, not your dietary restrictions. all i take is b12 and i feel fine, but i am also just eating way healthier since going vegan. when i was veggie before that i didnt give a shit and felt way way worse. probably bc of the dairy consumption/dependency
