Be happy about the past, sure, but not to the extent that it poisons the present. There is joy and catharsis in the present, it just becomes a little harder to find the older you get. To feel that kind of joy, you have to step out of your comfort zone, which is difficult as you grow up and establish your habits. Difficult, but nowhere near impossible. You can't build momentum without pushing yourself.
I agree with your statement,i also don't want to be thinking too much about it,compare to my friends who keep telling me that things ain't the same anymore and that in the past it was better,especially when it comes to music,and i tell them to not let it brainwash their lives,there is still joyful things to be found and made and there are still good songs to be found,just it seems people these days appreciate less quality made songs and more songs that are "cheap made" or easy things to talk about and present. Nostalgia is hitting me hard. I haven’t heard this song ever since I was in maybe 4th or 5th grade. Those were truly good times. I was so care free, and I didn’t have any insecurities.
