Absolutely!! I was only in third-fifth grade during this time. NWO set off the world! All the way to the playground in northwestern Montana. WWF DX didn’t help either. Good times.
Most horrible guy, period. He did most of the booking and screwed most guys. What did you have in mind, break his streak ,when you guys stung Goldberg with the cattleprod and fingerpoked the guy. Expecting him to run all over you'll??
What a time. I was a kid during this and every guy at school was rocking an nWo shirt or Austin 3:16. Couldn’t wait for tuesday at recess to talk what happened on raw and nitro. So happy I grew up watching this as it happened.
That was the best time to be a wrestling fan. So many wild things happening that we’d never seen. The NWO set off the wrestling boom of the late 90’s with that leg drop from Hogan. You think Taker losing at Mania was shocking, that one moment changed the whole entire wrestling business. It’s why Hogan is the GOAT…. He set off both wrestling booms, one as a babyface in the 80’s and the last one as a heel in the 90’s.
I still think Sting vs the nWo was the greatest wrestling storyline EVER. Yes even better than Austin vs McMahon. Sting had to walk the dark path to be able to defeat Hogan and nWo. Unfortunately the payoff at Starrade 97 sucked, but the nearly 1.5 year buildup was spectacular.
Nitro was the goat wrestling show she created the live TV format for the genre. Till this day wrestling is trying to recreate the feeling of a 96-97 Nitro. Lighting in a bottle.
Getting off the roids will do that for ya. If you follow the timeline of when he got smaller it was after the steroid dibacle in the early to mid-1990s. You look at him in 1993 his mass is still like it was in the 1980s, but by 1996 when he was in WCW he was pure lean muscle and had lost quite a bit of mass. That's the roids effect. I have to say though around 1997 I was at Toys R Us with my family picking out stuff for Christmas in Clearwater Florida where I grew up, and him, the Giant, Macho Man, and one another I didn't know, came in and cameras were following them and they bought thousands of dollars of toys to go to some fundraising event. He walked right by me and honestly to this day I have never seen a man his height that muscular ever. He really was a sight to behold that the TV just cannot translate.
The NWO was great right up until the point it became the focal point of the entire show as wrestling goes the good guys eventually beat the heels but for some strange reason the NWO just kept on winning.
because in reality WCW couldn't book a good story to save their lives, so they stuck with the only thing they had. and they still screwed up plenty of NWO story lines because they were incompetent.
The 90s was the pinnacle of cool. You wouldn't understand if you weren't there. We had attitude. We didn't give a *u*k. We didn't kiss anybody's a**, and we were realizing we didn't have to give a *h*t what you thought about that. We were tearing down the authority and literally bringing in a new regime - we were truly united in our individualism. What happend? The 90s... the greatest time to be alive... everybody was crass, but everybody was given a fair chance. We had perfected human existence... how did we let it slip away?
From the first night Hall appeared me and my brother never missed a Nitro until they told everyone that mankind was going to win the title I immediately changed channels and never went back to WCW
Peak WWE? WWE was in shackles and scrambling to survive during this period. It wasn't until mid '98 that things picked up for them. WCW/nWo kicked their butts for 83 weeks.
wcw didnt realize that the diamond studd and vinnie vegas would put them at the top of the industry in just 4 short years. oh yeah, and that steve austin kid did alright too.
Yea but as time went on there was heat with Kevin Nash & Hulk Hogan then caused the split from wolf pac red. Starrcade 1997 ppv botch job ect. Before you know it Vince McMahon bought them out.
The Monday night wars…. You just had to live & experience the wrestling era to understand & appreciate what all blood 🩸 sweat 😓 & tears 😭 WCW,NWO,WWE, & ECW did for all of us fans!! It was all just too sweet & amazing to watch It live & In person… I’m starting to get a Nostalgia feeling & high😂😂😂😂😂😂
nwo was proberly one of the best factions in wrestling. but nwo is what killed wcw. they won every week because wrestlers had creative control then faction got bigger than wcw roster and it just went sour. the origional nwo with hall nash and hogan was peek nwo
Hogan weighed about 100lbs less than he did in the 80’s off the 🥤 but the NWO was the coolest thing to ever happen to pro wrestling. Then they introduced Goldberg and WCW was just better than the WWF for 83 weeks
you can call what ever you like but man !! After watching this Documentary !! have a huge respect for Eric Bischoff and NWO man !! just Goose Bumps Every time
Sting angle was ruined by Hogan. We all know they were trying to steal some of the WWFs rub with a angle where the ref screws sting but they fucked it up LOL
I remember at this time, they started a gimmick of fining anyone who did a powerbomb, and kevin nash would doem on purpose and laugh 😂😂. This was such a great era ofwrestling
I was a teenager during the nWo and attitude eras and holy hell was it awesome to live through.
Same here. And I agree 100%.
meeeeeeeeee too the best times in wrestling EVER
Agreed
@@ZeusDragonya6 adds aty asYsysarq😅sá😂l
Same
People who weren't there will never understand just how huge this era of Pro wrestling truly was.
Absolutely!! I was only in third-fifth grade during this time. NWO set off the world! All the way to the playground in northwestern Montana. WWF DX didn’t help either. Good times.
Agreed
Yep, everyone watched wrestling..and I mean…everyone
💯
4life brother
This was the best thing to happen to wrestling. The chain reaction it set off will never be outdone.
Scott hall and kevin nash were such a great tag team
Rest In Peace Scott Hall. We miss you. ❤
NWO 4 LIFE!!!!!
Agreed
Absolute wrestling genius. He taught Hogan how to be a heel and he came up with Crow Sting, just to name a few. Underrated creative mind!
🤘🫲
Gay
@@mlgrasshoppa04 ,😄😄😄
Nash talking about not giving wrestlers creative control is the most ironic thing I've ever seen
He was like Suge Knight backstage. He was a top guy always either drunk or high
Most horrible guy, period. He did most of the booking and screwed most guys. What did you have in mind, break his streak ,when you guys stung Goldberg with the cattleprod and fingerpoked the guy. Expecting him to run all over you'll??
Dude if you keep the clips of the Monday Night Wars like you've done with the UFC..I'M LOSING IT. YOU'RE THE BEST
Best heel turn of all times
HBK Barbershop. Anyone who paid attention knew kogan was the third man.
@@darreleddings5901oh please! We all know Marty Jannety tried to jump through that window to avoid Shawn Michaels! 😂
The coolest gang with the coolest logo... Now we get the New Day. So cool right? lol wrestling was just so cool back then and so was Scott.
What a time. I was a kid during this and every guy at school was rocking an nWo shirt or Austin 3:16. Couldn’t wait for tuesday at recess to talk what happened on raw and nitro. So happy I grew up watching this as it happened.
NWO was the best thing happen to wrestling....
It really was.
Couldn’t agree more
they were good, but OG ECW was better. of course, they are doomed to be underrated forever.
My favorite wrestling group ever. Period.
I would have to go with the original Four Horseman as the greatest heal group of all time plus they were the originaters of heal bad guys
Love watchin this stuff, reminds me of the days the wwe wasnt a clown show, back when if was good
"You can call this. The New World Order. Of Professional Wrestling Brother" - Hulk Hogan
Thank u for these wwe videos honestly great to have a bowl to 🎉
Hogan acting like he didnt tell the ref to do the slow count :D
I just wanna see the alternate timeline where Hogan jobbed for Sting in that first big match
Nash lawn darting Rey is iconic. If there’s one spot that really stuck with me is that.
Hogan going heel really felt like betrayal
No one will ever understand how big wrestling was back then it was everything me as a kid literally everything
Best in the nwo is scott not talking because he dead but he was that guy
Once you're nWo you're nWo 4 life 🤘
This is brilliant
X-Pac really was good at riding coattails
Rest In Peace Scott.

he set it off and he held it back too, like refusing to job for Sting and yeeeears later refusing to job for Jarrett
@@zibberebbiz so you think it was a good idea for Hogan to job to Jarrett?????
Good content.
Good move by them making Hogan a heel. His Hogan persona with the yellow and red was like 20 years old
12 years. But yes, it had gone stale by that point, Hogan was due for a change.
Hogan was fking smart, he knew when to ride the wave at just the right time. He was involved in both the 80s Hulkamania boom and the 90s boom
Hollywood Hogan was 🔥🔥🔥🔥
XPac was in NWO and DX... let that sink in 🤘

This was really, really sweet.
Outsiders were so cool.
Hogan was awesome as Hollywood Hogan.
Best time in WCW wrestling.... Period
Hogan lost a bunch of weight and looked 10 years younger!

them hitting the rock in the ambulance with that semi is one of the best segmetns
My favorite NWO moment is when The Giant (Paul Wight) joined the NWO after betraying the Dungeon of Doom and took over the commentary booth😂
6:12 hogan knew EXACTLY what he was doing with the match
Dude...Sting doesnt kick out. You people allways need to blame who you want to blame. I bet you are a Ahole in real Life
I been watching wcw with my 10 year old son.
I’m so glad he likes the nwo Hollywood and and nwo wolf pac feud .
Whats the documentary called
This time in wrestling was the greatest. Nothing like that will even come close to happening again in the wrestling world. It was so fun to watch.
The most shocking part is where they say WCW was sold between $3M-$4M.
Does anyone know what the clip talking about Starcade was from? Maybe a documentary or something..
If you were not a fan of wrestling when nwo was formed I feel horrible for you!
Good to see Larone branching out
amazing times

RIP Scott Hall.
Hogan looked 60 since he was 25.
The truth is finally coming out here. Hulk screwed it all up.
Hulk fuckin ruined it like always. “Not today brother”
This stuff stood the test of time more than anything. DX couldn't even hold a candle next to this stuff. They wish.
HEY YO
ugh... imagine how much bigger Starcade would have been if that screwy finish didn't happen. Such a shame. Feel so bad for Sting.
RIP Scott Hall
The first year of NWO and the first 6 months of Wolfpack VS Black and White were near perfect. After 99 it was all downhill.
No docs out there like wrestling docs!
the thing with starcade is that it was the fault of one nick patrick
Look at the adjective!
👌😊
didn't kno eric had tattoos sweet didn't kno he had it in him great...
Could you imagine if Bischoff had a backbone..
I was 8 - 10 ish I think when the 90's attitude era started and I had no idea it would be remembered so fondly by so many people
The nWo were so fringe they redefined the word ‘adjective’
Four life nwo
Who is that talking at 1:18?
Eric Bischoff..you welcome 😁
they chance this business forever and 4 life

Best times switching from channel to channel trying to find the best match and storyline. A bag of hot cheetos in my hands with a coca cola.
Sting angle was ruined by Hogan.
We all know they were trying to steal some of the WWFs rub with a angle where the ref screws sting but they fucked it up LOL
Sold for 4 million.... Hogan made more than that.
Kevin Sullivan suggested hogan turned heel NOT Bischoff
I remember at this time, they started a gimmick of fining anyone who did a powerbomb, and kevin nash would doem on purpose and laugh 😂😂. This was such a great era ofwrestling
