Alhumdulillah. I went to Uni from 2010-2013 when it was £3,300 per year, so £9900 for the whole degree. My amazing Father paid £6000 towards it while I worked and paid the rest. I can’t thank Allah SWT enough for providing me with this ease. Can’t imagine how hard it would have been if I had to struggle like these brothers and sisters! May Allah Azza Wa-Jal make it easier for the new generations!

@@Sanyu-Tumusiime No because the difference is that the Muslims that want these loans are willing to pat the full cost of the tuition, that means the full 27000-50000K so long as they can actually get it without interest. People who take out loans with interest never pay the full quantity of the loan with or without interest, not to mention that the government writes it off in 30 years. We don’t mind paying it all as long as it is without interest.

If you are unsure if student is haram or not because of the threshold (don't have to pay it back until you earn a certain amount)
then let me make things clear
some people give the argument that because you don't have to pay it back until you earn a certain amount it's halal.
The reality is that it is still haram because
imagine someone gives a loan saying that I'll give you this loan and your payment will be that you sell alcohol for me BUT you don't have to start selling alcohol until you make 25000 pound a year. would you say in that case this is a halal loan?
      course not
so brothers and sisters the student loan is haram.
      as it is interested
(Sheikh salih al fawjan said that interest is the second biggest sin after shirk as Allah gave more severe threats to the ones who do riba compared to the ones who murder)

If all people and especially muslims would understand that the money that is circulating does not really exist in the first place. That the money only comes into existence through bank debt (credit) of all sorts wether it is government debt, mortgage etc which then has to be paid back with interest. And that this means that if all debt (goverment debt, mortgage debt etc) in the world would be paid off, that currency (money) would disappear (i.e. deflation, market collapse). And we would not be free yet because the society still has to pay off the remaining debt because of interest. Which causes the panic and the (false) justification to create bigger debt bubbles debt just to keep this ponzi scheme going. This then increases debt, taxes and price inflations. People would start to see in what kind of trouble we are in as society. We as an ummah should save our assets (savings) in dinar (gold) and dirham (silver) as a way to protect ourselves from this system. In any small amounts if your means are small. But as much as possible nevertheless. Because the private banking system cannot create dinar and dirhams out of thin air. These are real tangible assets that cannot be manipulated. This will give us some autonomy against this financial (riba) slavery system. Mashallah that there are muslims like in this video doing all they can to protect their Deen. I would argue that we can do more though to take this to the next level of resistance.

@@noumanafsar3283 Central banks can print infinite currency in theory. Just look at the recent example in Libanon. In practice, they need a crisis as an excuse to create money. For example, 2008 financial crisis or the current "pandemic" crisis which the Federal reserve used as reason to create 25% of the total dollar amount that was ever created. This has led to enormous inflation everywhere around the world. Of course the media is framing this as a supply chain issue.

You still never end up paying the interest even if you are using the student tuition fee. It’s free if your future salary is annually £27k and a certain percentage if it’s above that. Regardless, interest is never paid unless a person’s salary is extremely high. Even if it’s an interest based loan, the fact that there are no alternatives for the average Muslim wanting a certain job has made some scholars decide to allow it till a practical alternative for the many Muslim students in the country is found.

Student loan is a different type of debt that doesn't technically fall under the same times as normal riba. For example if you don't earn above a certain salary you don't pay. After 30 years the loan expires. So it is not the same as a mortgage where they will take your house. Nevertheless credit to these guys.

MashaAllah i have so much respect for these people. i dont have the same iman as these people but i want to explain why the student loan is not a "typical" loan which is haram.
I took the loan because the conditions for it is very different to a usual loan. for example we only pay back if we earn above £27K and the loan get cancelled after 30 years. its kind of like the government is investing in us and we are giving the government profit only if we make enough money to sustain our self first.
This is the same as saying I give some money to open a business and tell him to give me 10% if he makes profit above a certain amount and this contract will expire after 30 years so after 30 years, he or his kids don't have to give me 10%.
Normally with haram loan like mortgages, u have to pay back no matter what and even if u die, your children have to pay or the house is confiscated. However, in the student loan if u die, the loan is written off coz government is taking the risk to invest in you.
The prophet wont pray the Janazah of person if he is in debt but in this case, if we die and didn't pay back the original amount then the loan is automatically cancelled and on the day of judgement we wont be asked about it.
So, these conditions imho makes this loan look like a investment contract.
for more detail, you can watch: "Are student loans Halal? - Shaykh Dr Haitham Al-Haddad"
im not a person of knowledge, this is only my opinion.
plz do your own research and decide for yourself.

@@RoboxKayla mate, they only take 9% of the money you make on top of $27000 and in most cases you wont even give the original amount back.
for example, my friends took about £50K+ loan and she is only paying back £30 per week so she wont even return the original £50K back. The government will make a loss coz they invested in her thinking she will earn around £40K a year.
also some people will be earning even less than £27K so they wont even pay 1 penny to the government.

    • @ameerhamza1581
      @ameerhamza1581 3 года назад

@@RoboxKayla another reason its a investment is coz they will cancel it after 30 years or if u die or if u make less than £27000 annually. so here the government is ready to take the risk that you might die and they wont ask your family for the money or the risk u might not earn £27000 and they wont even take a penny off u.
mera bhai, plz read my original comment where I explained why this "student loan" is not like a normal loan (mortgage ) which you have to return no matter what happens even if u die, ur family still have to return it.
lets say u took out a mortgage, and after a year your employer sacked you, the mortgage company will still ask u for the money and charge even more interest. however, the student loan company will not take the money from u if you're unemployed, again showing they are investing in you and only take money from u if you're making enough to feed your family.
