Devil there's a glitch with Arma 2 where it will make a clicking sound when accessing someone's inventory, but it wont take the item. In order to solve that, do as you normally would to take it into your inventory then get into a vehicle and hop out. Then you should have the gear. Nice to see you back on Arma 2, still one of my favorite games.

One thing I miss about wasteland, is Opfor and Blufor sides actually building bases and utilizing the sand for the sandbox. Would have epic base assaults between Opfor and Blufor, Indies turning up in the middle of it to scroatch gear. In ArmA 3 wasteland this is a rare thing, it just feels like a Death match arena game mode, just on a large scale. Something about ArmA 2 wasteland promoted these awesome things. It just seems every game mode is a Death match arena with ArmA 3. I could be being nostalgic and ignoring that the ArmA community has changed a lot.
