Nice one
Nice, like the 'purity' of gliding, sniffing out natural lift, but do confess I prefer a 100bhp engine to take me where I want to go rather than where I need to go (to find lift)!
You and me both!
That was quite good, hope it was fun, flying a motor glider. 😃😃
I do like trying different aircraft out. But miss the triking fun.
Hey I've just found your videos. So sorry to hear about your crash. Glad you came out of it ok. Where are you with the rebuild? Sharing your experiences is so valuable. Gives other pilots something to think about and learn from.
Hi Marc, Rebuild complete, all the videos are in the channel, showing the progress back to flight. I have now been flying again for 11 months. This week was my crash 2nd anniversary. I am doing ok. I plan to return to the airfield of the crash in a few days to land again for the first time since. This is an important psychological barrier for me to overcome.
Hey stew great choice to get your confidence back. Its a very important part of flight mentality. Launching off a cliff in a hang glider is the best teacher of that. If you aren't confident your doing it right and your gonna fly. Its bad news. Motor gliders are very safe and give you a boost of security. One thing i don't think they address enough on is the mental physiology of flying. Your doing well on your road great choice to rebuild that much needed confidence in yourself.
The long road is now another day shorter...
Well done more flying, more confidence.
Enjoyed that Stewart like I was in the motor glider with you both, especially that landing 👏
BTW
I did ask on your last vid about info on the landing light review but got no reply?
Any chance you could let us know the makers or suppliers of it or possibly a link??
As it looks like what I’m after.
Cheers from the UK
Graham
Cool, thanks Link sent last comment. Just catching up on my replies 🤓
i've just recently started my SPL course on the HK36 super dimona - but it's the more recent version with winglets and it has a nose wheel instead of being a taildragger
Sounds fun. I wish you all the best with it.
I was wondering what your rule burn and cruse speed when not a glider? How much fuel dose it hold. I'm looking into motor glider . I lost my medical . They say because memory . $3k for testing.
Sorry not my aircraft, but the specs should be online somewhere. I fly a trike usually.
No, you are a motorglider pilot.
Well, it's got controls I am not used to anyway.... stick and rudder 😉
