33:46 I think Kevin has that honest, trustworthy persona, but, he keeps his Dad in the basement of the shed. His dad only comes out to bring packages to the post office and he acts as Kevin's valet at yard sales. 😊

I miss Kevin’s voice of reason in the background lol As a Texan… Whataburger has been slacking. We have a in and out in Houston and I like it way better. I think whataburger was sold years back and after that it’s hasn’t been the same.

If someone bought everything from your EBay store but it came with the following stipulations would you do it?
Stipulations:
- You have to personally pack/ship every item - no family help.
- Every item has to be individually (properly) packed.
- You must print labels through EBay.
- You have 24 hrs - starting now - no time to prepare. You can have help get you extra needed shipping supplies. Mail carrier picks up in exactly 24 hrs.
- It’s an all or nothing sale. You must pack every item or all sales are canceled.

eBay calculated shipping offering them the discount works fine if you have the correct weight and dimensions it has yet to be wrong unless I mess up.

I have a dedicated shrine to the ebay algorithm that I sacrifice a stray cat to every seventh Thursday...seems to have really helped my sales.
The diesel exhaust.. All modern diesel vehicles require a DPF system (filter) by law... Older trucks are grandfathered and do not require the filter... That exhaust smell literally makes me SICK!!

This episode... Incident?... episode? wasn't terrible. If I had to offer my advice, (and I do, I literally can't help myself), I'd dirty up the audio a tad bit. The audio is just a little too perfect and it comes off as slightly fake, or staged. More of an "I didn't really try" sound comes across as more authentic.

I believe that eBay throttles your views so that you don't grow too fast. I'm full time and I definitely have a cap on how much I can make in a week. I have 1250 items in my store and no matter how much I list in a week, or how much monetary value those items have, or how good the sell through rates are, my weekly payouts are very consistent-within $100 of each payout every week. That is a weird coincidence if this is all just in my head. If I good sales during the week, my weekend are slow, and if my week is slow, my weekend is great. How can I sell 8 items in the morning of a day, and then barely get any page views the rest of the day? I mean the good thing is, at least I can be fairly confident of what my weekly payouts will be.

1- I am violently opposed to "free" shipping. It's not free because you have to inflate your sales price to include shipping; if they return the item you can't exclude original shipping; we cannot change the mindset if we always bow to the crowd.

Dave, I get your point about free shipping but you’re missing 1 part…obviously on highly expensive & profitable it doesn’t matter, but if you just guess a number and add that to the price for say a $40 item, the item can vary drastically based on the buyers location. Even if you exclude Alaska/Hawaii/PR, if it goes across the country it could go from $12 to $25 for shipping, and if you don’t exclude those places you could be paying the customer to take your item

Lowest to highest doesn’t always work I was looking for an item that I saw and searched that way and it didn’t even show up. eBay’s TOS also says they will adjust the search results regardless of the buyers search settings 🤷🏻♂️

Dave - I hate Lego LOL. But, we buy storage units, usually geared towards media/geeky stuff so we seem to find more of them than you would think. We just whatnot that sh*t. I sell the minifigs starting at $2, weird stuff starting at $2 and then bag everything else and start the gallon bags at $2. We do well with those sales and we aren't even RUclips famous. :P We do pre-list the items so we get pre-bids and the buyers just show up. I'm sure we could do better on eBay but we are plenty happy with the results and I know you'd pull a tidy/easy profit based on your buy costs just tossing them up that way.

I'll just be honest on the Kevin not being here so much, I love Kevin, and I love him on this podcast, but I am not so sure it's him not being here to me as it is just having a 3rd person (or more), I think having a 3rd person makes it a podcast instead of a conversation, so my suggestion in the future, maybe just have a guest on these nights if they are planned, love you two very much, keep pushing out the content, yes missing Kevin. Carie, I did a Dave and bought a large bin of over 2600 basketball cards from the 90's (I didn't know anything about them). They are in books and in good shape. I google lensed at least 50 of them and none show a value over $5. Most were $1 or $2. Are you interested? LOL.
