Good call with the camera shake during Earthbending scenes. Without the shake it makes it feel like the camera is just floating in space unaffected by the force of Earthbending. I think the camera should shake when there's Airbending, as well. It would go a long way to adding the depth of immersion into the world.

I really liked your channel but now that you are deep inside the ass of Netflix it sad to see you just like every decision they did. This show is just gonna end up like the movie whose name we don’t speak. Thank God we still have avatar studios let’s hope they make some good avatar content again.
Hate to break it to you but I'm probably going to be the same way with the Avatar Studios projects that come out. As I was with the yangchen novel, the azula comic, the rpg.. I just like Avatar and I'm generally positive about most things Avatar
I feel so sorry for people who are so determined to hate on this show before it's release. Some "fans" only focus on what's negative. I'm not saying we have to accept anything just because the live action movie is garbage and automatically anything else would already be better. But this show doesn't look like just another adaptation. It looks like a perfect anime to live action translation. We should be celebrating the representativity, the faithful looks and visuals, the beautifully choreographed kung fu fight scenes, the awesome soundtrack, the love the cast seem to have for the source material and the hard work they're putting in the scenes. Instead of nitpicking on anything the creators said they changed from the original. Wait for the show to come out before shitting on something you haven't even seen. The show has to appeal to a general audience not just us and not everything in a cartoon nor anime will work perfectly on a live action show or movie. So the directors, writers and producers have to choose what to bring life to and what to ignore. It might not be better than the original, it might not be everything we want from it. But you can't say it doesn't look like a great series. Even if it's not as faithful as most of us expect, it doesn't destroy the original. We can still watch our Avatar. But just because you don't like it it doesn't mean other people have to hate it. I'm tired of idiots who think they can predict the future and waste time pushing this agenda that it's going to suck when every trailer is literally proving them wrong. FUCK THESE PEOPLE! Stream the show when it comes out and form your own opinion. Don't let others tell you what you should enjoy or not.
Agree about the Earthbending, I hope Zuko doesn't fight and just gets burned or at least begs at some point so he's defenseless and burned. Exactly what I'd do with showing the genocide, I mean why not right? Airbending masters are also identified with the robes, since Gyatso and Aang wear them, along with the other elders and that female Airbender Avatar. Hate Sokkawashing

Tbh, I don't know why they made a remake tho!!🤔 We know how the story goes. What they could've done is a live action of after the century war and how they grew up till before Korra... We seen the comics about bits and pieces how Toph created her metal bending school, how Zuko rekindle with his mom, the reformation of Republic city et cetera et cetera... I mean that could've been a couple of seasons on there own instead of remaking the whole thing from the beginning again.. Btw; is Avatar Kenji still in the works or so, coz I'm very ready to watch that in anime form as well😁
I think with Ozai burning Zuko scene, they may have extended the Agni Kai, Zuko could have begged not to fight but Ozai could be forcing him into doing so and Zuko's defending himself because he has no choice (Zuko's reaction there seems more like reflex and shock). Ozai's initial volley in the clip seems more like a taunt than an attack meant to burn, and then he kept increasing the intensity until we get to the face burn where he stops being able to defend himself. It's different, but I think it'd make Ozai seem more cruel to toy with Zuko before delivering such a terrible blow.
jeezus, the more clips of this show I see the more I feel it's gonna be absolute trash. Every child actor in it looks absolutely gormless and i can already tell from interviews and what little acting we've seen in trailers that they are REALLY bad actors. Add to that they look nothing like the OG characters and that all the effects look like bad green screen (because they are) and this show is almost guaranteed to suck. I honestly don't get why anyone is pumped for this. Can anyone name me one live action/modern reboot/renake of anything that has turned out good? No, so why does anyone expect this to be good? Question- Are they replacing Roku as Aang's primary avatar "guide" or have they just not shown clips of him for some other reason? I know a big part of his role in season one was to help Aang understand he has a year before Zosin's Comet. I'm assuming thet're just delaying this because of the time jump
I'm all for more interaction with past avatars, i think that's really cool. But if them doing this with kyoshi is gonna be in place of roku doing the same thing in the tower on the solstice, I'll be pretty upset. That is such an epic moment in the series, probably one of my favorites from season 1. I am worried they wont include that scene with roku if they're doing this, but even if they were to include both, rokus scene wouldn't have nearly the same impact, since basically the exact same thing will have already happened with kyoshi earlier in the season. But then i think, if they dont do the solstice with roku at all, then how is aang gonna find out about the comet thats coming? That would have to be different. Also if they dont do the solstice stuff, then that might impact the hebai episode since thats when roku reaches out to aang about the comet in the first place. And anyway, then i keep spiraling down the rabbit hole of changes to the story that will inevitably have to be made stemming from even one thing that they made different, just cuz they felt like making it different. Rewatching the cartoon, there were several episodes where I'm like, "surely they have to keep this one, its integral in this persons character development!" Like the solstice episode, or the jong jong episode, etc. But i realize now that nothing is really safe. Who knows what's on the chopping block! Whatever they cut though, i really hope its not to the detriment of character development. I dont want these live action characters to feel half baked just cuz they couldnt squeeze in enough of a storyline for them due to the changes theyre making. Even those that some would deem as just "filler" episodes, had some element in them that helped a character learn something/change their perspective, and it affected them down the line. But oh well, it'll still be fun to watch one of my favorite shows in a new light, and if it leaves a lot to be desired, then i always have the original to enjoy. This ended up being a long comment😅
Low key, I wish this series was about Kyoshi. Only avatar actively in a gang. Her mother was an airbinder but didnt care to be a monk. She was robbing people with her husband. The fans come from Kyoshi mom needed help with her bending when she fell out of balance. She tattooed cobras over her air bending tattoos. This would be a gem to watch.
Loving all of your commentary! I’m super excited for this! The one thing I’m worried about is that the air bending will be too slow when moving people. When it comes to Aang moving himself with air bending (during the battle with Bumi), you can painfully tell he is on a rig and being moved. It’s just too slow. I wish they would speed up those specific shots just a tad to make it seem like he is moving quickly.

Not the part of him back jumping over the huge rock - that part looks good 👍🏼 The part of him floating to his side to evade a smaller rock looks so slow. That’s the only part that worries me that some of the full body air bending moves could pull people out of being immersed in the show. I really do hope I’m wrong 🤞🏼
Maybe Aang turns into Kyoshi as her Avatar like he did when he transformed to Roku for a brief moment during the Winter Solstice episode..just my guess

Thank you for stating that you do not want a shot for shot remake. I just had a long discussion with my friend over Halo for a very similar reason. I love the new Halo because it's not what was told in the games I am not looking for a shop for shop on Avatar or how to train your dragon, fallout all of these adaptations we already know the original stories We need new content to devour that has the flavor of the originals. If I wanted to watch Avatar The Last Airbender from Nickelodeon I would just go do that

jeezus, the more clips of this show I see the more I feel it's gonna be absolute trash.
Every child actor in it looks absolutely gormless and i can already tell from interviews and what little acting we've seen in trailers that they are REALLY bad actors.
Add to that they look nothing like the OG characters and that all the effects look like bad green screen (because they are) and this show is almost guaranteed to suck.
I honestly don't get why anyone is pumped for this.

Question- Are they replacing Roku as Aang's primary avatar "guide" or have they just not shown clips of him for some other reason? I know a big part of his role in season one was to help Aang understand he has a year before Zosin's Comet. I'm assuming thet're just delaying this because of the time jump

I'm all for more interaction with past avatars, i think that's really cool. But if them doing this with kyoshi is gonna be in place of roku doing the same thing in the tower on the solstice, I'll be pretty upset. That is such an epic moment in the series, probably one of my favorites from season 1. I am worried they wont include that scene with roku if they're doing this, but even if they were to include both, rokus scene wouldn't have nearly the same impact, since basically the exact same thing will have already happened with kyoshi earlier in the season. But then i think, if they dont do the solstice with roku at all, then how is aang gonna find out about the comet thats coming? That would have to be different. Also if they dont do the solstice stuff, then that might impact the hebai episode since thats when roku reaches out to aang about the comet in the first place. And anyway, then i keep spiraling down the rabbit hole of changes to the story that will inevitably have to be made stemming from even one thing that they made different, just cuz they felt like making it different. Rewatching the cartoon, there were several episodes where I'm like, "surely they have to keep this one, its integral in this persons character development!" Like the solstice episode, or the jong jong episode, etc. But i realize now that nothing is really safe. Who knows what's on the chopping block! Whatever they cut though, i really hope its not to the detriment of character development. I dont want these live action characters to feel half baked just cuz they couldnt squeeze in enough of a storyline for them due to the changes theyre making. Even those that some would deem as just "filler" episodes, had some element in them that helped a character learn something/change their perspective, and it affected them down the line. But oh well, it'll still be fun to watch one of my favorite shows in a new light, and if it leaves a lot to be desired, then i always have the original to enjoy. This ended up being a long comment😅
Low key, I wish this series was about Kyoshi. Only avatar actively in a gang. Her mother was an airbinder but didnt care to be a monk. She was robbing people with her husband. The fans come from Kyoshi mom needed help with her bending when she fell out of balance. She tattooed cobras over her air bending tattoos. This would be a gem to watch.

The one thing I’m worried about is that the air bending will be too slow when moving people. When it comes to Aang moving himself with air bending (during the battle with Bumi), you can painfully tell he is on a rig and being moved. It’s just too slow. I wish they would speed up those specific shots just a tad to make it seem like he is moving quickly.
To be fair in the animation when he evades the big rock he moves slowly not fast.
@@rayanvij3457true, that part I think they matched well. I am talking about the one little clip we see of him floating himself to his right. Not the part of him back jumping over the huge rock - that part looks good 👍🏼 The part of him floating to his side to evade a smaller rock looks so slow. That’s the only part that worries me that some of the full body air bending moves could pull people out of being immersed in the show. I really do hope I’m wrong 🤞🏼

The remember the cartoon it was great. Why didn’t they a live action movie of Kyoshi instead? We know angi story and the other messed up Kora cartoon. You just wasted lots of money on a story we already know
Thank you for stating that you do not want a shot for shot remake. I just had a long discussion with my friend over Halo for a very similar reason. I love the new Halo because it's not what was told in the games I am not looking for a shop for shop on Avatar or how to train your dragon, fallout all of these adaptations we already know the original stories We need new content to devour that has the flavor of the originals. If I wanted to watch Avatar The Last Airbender from Nickelodeon I would just go do that
