Im an artist and you should definitely try this out , what I would do is do one painting that you really like when you start , and the same one a few months or years later to see your progress and correct your mistakes . Good luck !

I painted this, turned out awesome, so proud of myself but where's the Front door???
I ended up using my Acrylic paint pens and adding the front door, it’s perfect
The wooden door is closed
I started learning and am comfortable with oils. But, I see acrylic is going to be my choice. Once I worked with it I found more freedom
due to fast drying.
