People bringing up CC. This update is for people who still want the autentic nostalgic feel of TTO which CC doesnt do. Thats why TTR is still so popular in comparison even with less things.
I'm really happy with the dynamic TTR and CC have going on right now honestly. TTR is where I go when I want to pretend TTO never shut down and just kept getting updates, while CC is where I go when I want to play what I'd imagine Toontown would've been like if it wasn't made by Disney in the first place. Corporate Clash is awesome but it's sort of become a Theseus' ship of a Toontown server, it doesn't actually feel like Toontown anymore but rather a Toontown inspired indie game. When I want to play Corporate Clash I play Corporate Clash, but when I want to play _Toontown_ I play TTR, if that makes sense. TTR is like the idealized version of Toontown that exists in my memories as what TTO was like as a kid, where I ignore the annoying parts like monthly membership payments and tedious design meant to keep you playing longer. Corporate Clash is fun, but it's so far removed that it doesn't give me that fuzzy nostalgia feeling anymore like TTR does. So together they coexist in a good way I think, because Corporate Clash is a complete reimagining while TTR is like a faithful remaster that adds on to the original experience in ways that feel true to the original vision of Toontown. Both are great, I don't even see them as comparable because they're so different.
@shadeyfang8564 i will @ u if I like. I personally have played both. I really like CC over TTR but I still love how nostalgic TTR is as someone who used to play TTO and there is much of the fanbase that prefer that. Infact many people in the deep TTR fanbase hate this update as it takes away from the nostalgic feeling that was TTO. Leave those fans to have there nostalgic feelings in peace. It never was about what game is better as either way its all subjective.
@@shadeyfang8564And people like YOU show how people don't understand that clash and ttr are NOT the game, they are legit not comparable to each other. Your trying to prove a point that will never be proven, for every you there's 3 people that have the EXACT opposite vision on which is better at minimum. It's like someone trying to compare Valerant to World Of War Craft. It makes ZERO sense. Clash has went so far from even what ttr has with this update, it shows how different the games are going in terms of direction and what toontown COULD be, but not what they ARE. You can make an effort to try and shove into people's mouths that one server is better and is the must, but everyone has the right to like what toontown version THEY like and to play. It's The TOONTOWN community, not The Rewritten Or Clash community. Stop getting your head into what people want to play, it's none of your business.
I absolutely love how these old mmo projects are still being maintained beyond their shutdown. TTO, CoH, and PSO were my childhood and now we can badger the new generation with our nostalgia.
I'm not too crazy about the reduction to sound. I felt like we already didn't have enough sound to clear certain cog rounds already (Like in the CFO & CEO) But... I'm willing to give it a try.
Pretty much all of these are definite improvements that make the Cog Facilities feel like something _new_ and I am all for it. Also, the mints now give you a preview of craning?! How did no one think of that before, that's brilliant!
I’m excited! I loved toontown in HS 2010ish. I make my new account a few days ago and the game is still so fun! Grindy yes but I definitely noticed the updates. The map looks so good with animation. Small subtle details but it’s cool to walk by a moving mailbox/fire hydrant. I’m excited for more of the buildings to get animated. I thought the game was shut down until I saw a tiktoker streaming the game❤❤❤❤
Is my new laptop awful or is the video wayyyy out of sync with the audio when you're talking? Genuine question, I need to know whether or not to return this lol also cannot believe this was only 4 months ago
I hope this update reignites the spark i had for toontown back in the day i can barely play for 5 minutes and not get bored. wish to be able to play my favorite childhood game again
I think the cog health bar is the most disgusting worst change. I like looking at the cogs. And that bar makes it so their hidden. If I coded it. I would’ve put all the health bars at the side/top of the screen.
ARE THEY GONNA BE REMOVING THE OLD VP, CFO, CJ, AND CEO WHEN THEY UPDATE AND ADD ALL THE NEW BOSSES? I WANTED TO FACE THE CJ AND CEO BC I NEVER GOT TO FIGHT THEM AS A KID BUT NOW I WONT BE ABLE TO IF THEY REMOVE THEM :(
People came to TTR/Clash/whatever other servers for Toontown, they stay for their preferred method of experiencing Toontown. That said, the heart of this community is one that cannot be truly shaken by server differences: Toontown. (Bottom line: Toontown is Toontown. You're playing Toontown regardless of server, anyways, so never forget the heart of it all.)
I played the og game years ago before it shutdown then like 4-5 years ago i played the rewritten with decent progress. If i can somehow log back in would i get my character back?
One of Toontown's greatest criticisms is that Sound is basically the only gag used and it makes gameplay boring fast. So without taking sound away completely and making it useless, they just made it useful for less rounds, allowing other gags and strategies to be utilized. Although this won't appeal to those who favor pure nostalgia, this is better for the game's overall health and player retention.
@@Megasnoop I guess I get that it’s boring, but there was some good Strats for sound and other gags being used. I haven’t played TTR for 3 years after I maxed at 137 so I just moved on to other games like clash royale or Fortnite. But it’s cool to see them still adding newer things to the game, better than the club Penguin servers that only just change their items.

They also lowered the amount of cogs in some of the bosses so the reduction of sound won't feel detrimental
If that's the case, things are looking up. Thanks for the info.
Tryna play sometime?
Appreciate the offer, unfortunately I've been dealing with visual issues preventing me from playing anything lately.

WATER WEED DUNE HAIR BAPA
Okay this is HYPE, I really wanna play through these dungeons as soon as they release them!
When does the update happen???
its out
I’m telling you the Mint Auditor looks like Mr Magoo and the Office Clerk looks like Miss Gristlepuss from SpongeBob
So that means, for all of us who use sound gags in the DA lobby, to get used to using other gags.
the new boss cogs look so good. the clerk is so unique i love what they did with her

High praise on the music coming from you!!! On behalf of the audio team, thank you!!!
If they add numbers to the health, I just may pick Rewritten back up.
And if I do, I'll make miis of the new managers too~
Love everything except the sound gag limits and lack of health numbers
Personally I'd do without the numbers, the uncertainty of something analogue like a bar can make things way more fun
It just launched and I’m so excited.
The formula for how much health a cog has is (level+1)*(level+2)
