Sure it is. But Seiko starts at 3 to 4 times the price. It's never a matter of what's better. There is always something better. It's a matter of choice, looks, personal connection to the watch.
first try and get your hands on a kohinoor or a stellar of your choice of colour, that should settle the debate of what is better, seiko or hmt
