It’s like smear frames but you don’t actually smear any drawing, you just draw lines to exaggerate or empathize speed/camera movement/zoom in of sort

The sonic one is genuinely so impressive, it looks like a solid rough draft instead of a bunch of different people drawing one frame
It looked like Sonic was running then started to boost as his legs did the figure 8 thing. It looked so smooth

The Rosalina one was strangely tragic. They start to die and in their final moments they embrace. 10/10, beautiful.

The dog to bird legitimately feels like what dreaming is like sometimes when everything progresses smoothly and in context, but for some reason everything is different like 5 seconds later.

Dreams are build from schemata. A scheme is a basic expectation you have. Like if you think of birds, you think of something with wings. You don't have to think about it, you just "know" it. That's a scheme.
So how does dreams work now?
For example you see a grayish outline. It looks like a stone - there's a stone in front of you.
stones are common near mountains -> you're standing on a mountain
on mountains are sheep -> there are sheep around you
sheeps need a shepherd -> there's a shepherd
That is very simplified, in reality there are millions of such little rules in your mind, which build your dreams.

Not gonna lie, kinda curious to see that group do that for a minute long animation, just giving each other 1-3 words to describe the plan/goal and leapfrogging who draws what frame

Unless gartic phone automatically does some work to change whatever you make into 24fps? I'm not an animator myself so I don't know the terms exactly, but like if you have a 6 frame animation and it makes it a 24fps gif or something? Idk.

It's not weird, it's actually just about psychology. The priming effect: when a thought about a certain subject enters your mind, you are primed to notice more information relevant to that subject for a period of time.
This happens unconciously. Something other than a bird could have primed their mind for the first time to think of a bird. Ideas are just a ripple effect.

Since my first experience with this game mode is a group of people with no drawing experience trying to cram a 5 second clip into 1, this is really nice
I was at the table eating doritos while my family were watching a movie. I think i disturbed them by dying of laughter with the aniem toast girl turning to a duck.
I LOVED how smooth and professional these animations turned out. AMAZING work. BUT! I think there's great comedy to be had with the professional animators playing Knock Off mode and losing their minds from not having enough time.
What's the next episode gonna be called Ross? "Pros animate gartic phone"? Or "pros vs phone"?
