I met when of those ww2 Polish soldiers in 1973 when I had to go to Launceston for an eye operation. My father and I stayed in there home overnight as our family was a friend of their son. Mr Glinski met his wife in Scotland were they married and had 2 sons. They moved to Australia sometime after ww2. Mr Glinski would get letters from Polska and he would save the stamps for me. I cried when he passed he was a wonderful quiet gentle man.
