    I received mine in less than 24hrs from Empire Airsoft! With the middle weight sleeve and the longest airbrake the power (j) increased slightly! A pleasant surprise as i'd expected the need for a stronger spring when running a longer airbrake. The Tac cycles with a far nice sound than before (SM cylinder head also fitted) and its notably quieter. Excellent result! Rapax 2+j spring (trimmed) and 420mm edgi dual bore barrel, 2.25j on 0.48g bb's . Shot to shot deviation is also now negligible

    Are you still going to support the first version of the WASP?
    What if the plastic airbrake beaks?

    • @SniperMechanics
      @SniperMechanics  2 года назад

      No, the old VSR W.A.S.P hasn't been in circulation for about 2 years now and isn't compatible with new gen bits. I do have some limited spares knocking around and I've given the file for brakes out before, so people can print/machine their own.

    Hi
    Just ordered wasp for srs a2.
    Will the rapax 3 j spring work in it or is there a better suited spring

      Hey Buddy, firstly thanks for ordering my products and supporting me

  • @Suhdudeb

    I had problems with my SRS with the standard piston, it would sometimes not cock (piston locking in the back) and I would get a double feed. Problems is probably my piston sear being too low, but with the wasp, since it requires a low sear, can this fix my problem maybe?
    (Rapax 3J spring)

    • @SniperMechanics
      @SniperMechanics  2 года назад

      The sear can just be adjusted, you can raise/lower it, Silverback have a video on it. My piston works in any SRS. Any piston will work, including your stock one, just tweak the height :)

    • @Suhdudeb
      @Suhdudeb 2 года назад

      @@SniperMechanics Thanks for the reply. I raised the sear last night after trying out my new WASP, because it wouldnt lock the piston to the sear, but works now.
      Had problems with the bolt not locking in and double feeding, so I had bb fragments in the barrel, from the bb breaking. Hopefully no damage was done..

    Hello,
    I was trying to install the piston spring guide and noticed that with the stock spring I cannot install it onto the new spring guide. I do have a Rapax spring on the way which should fix the issue. Furthermore, both the spring guide and the piston have an extremely tight fit onto the cylinder. Both to the point where I'm not too sure I want to continue installation. Is this normal for first time set up?
    Thanks!

    • @SniperMechanics
      @SniperMechanics  2 года назад

      Hey buddy, the spring guide with the oring is designed to be tight, but it should be adequately lubed.
      As for the piston itself being tight, there he been a number of reports of cylinders being off spec/bowed, making them about 0.1/0.2mm smaller. The rear guide ring can sanded slightly, which is currently the only fix of you have an offspec cylinder

    • @DerpHWimbleton
      @DerpHWimbleton 2 года назад

      @@SniperMechanics @SniperMechanic Understood, thanks! Just wanted to make absolutely sure before I try anything. As for the piston I think it has to do with with steel piston seer ring than the guide ring. Would it be alright to sand that with say 600 or go even finer?

    • @SniperMechanics
      @SniperMechanics  2 года назад

      @@DerpHWimbleton it won't be the sear, it'll be the rear guide ring

    • @DerpHWimbleton
      @DerpHWimbleton 2 года назад

      @@SniperMechanics Got it, went ahead and reduced the OD on the guide ring. It fits in the piston well. Would it be okay to test the piston out with the original spring guide or just wait for the Rapax spring to get in and install the spring guide that came with the Wasp?
      Thanks!

    • @SniperMechanics
      @SniperMechanics  2 года назад

      @@nathanboardman4427 hopefully a few weeks. No the normal wasp will work, but you'll need the larger OD brakes I'll be releasing at the same time, as the GBB chamber nozzle is wider than stock. Frustratingly the GBB chambers and heads, weren't produced when I released to wasp, so that's why I'm working on them now
