  • The second part shows the Scala today. How is the theatre functioning? What happens behind the scenes? Who are all these craftsmen, tailors,
shoemakers, technicians, stagehands who for years have been facilitating the wonder of a successful performance? How does a young singer feel who will sing "La Traviata" in the Scala? The documentary film accompanies the various protagonists showing how this world functions without wrecking its magic. One of our most important narrators of what happened is Hugo de Ana, producer, setdesigner and costume designer in the Scala. His "Trovatore" together with Ricardo Muti as conductor is an unbelievable success. He shows us steps by step how he is implementing his visions. The film makes the audience plunge into an unknown, nearly surreal world where music and art have the command for more than two hundred years.
