- Tesla (TSLA) is rehiring back some of its Supercharger team which were laid off last month, according to Bloomberg. This comes after CEO Elon Musk posted on X (formerly Twitter) that the EV maker was all in on expanding its Supercharger network with an investment of over $500 million in spite of headcount reductions and recent executive departures.
ROTH Capital Senior Research Analyst Craig Irwin sits down with Catalysts to talk about Tesla's Supercharger road map and which areas the auto company should be prioritizing.
They got to show they can they can get growth going again right? When you decline 7 or 8% you've got to actually show that you can get to positive growth again. That's not particularly easy. They're going to have to cut price, they're going to have to be aggressive," Irwin states. "And they're going to have to lay out a path to the mini car, the cyber taxi, robotaxi, whatever it's going to be. Where's the growth going to come from? they've got a lot of work to do with investors."

elon really sounds like he has no clue what he is doing these days with his companies.
Oh you spoke to elon?
Another Elon cult member ☝️
@@AstonVantage8😂😂😂 💯
@@AstonVantage8 exactly .. these cult members should wake up .. his decision making in the last couple years has been horrible .. if I did not have so much money invested I would sell all my stock..dude has openly admitted his is self medicating ..I’m very concerned as an investor
@@AstonVantage8 👈 Another deranged Elon hater.
"They have car company problems, and tech company aspirations." Well said.
better than a certain social media company with tech aspiration.
Tesla employees MUST GO UNION TO PROTECT THEMSELVES AGAINST ELON’s TANTRUMS.
What a 4d chess move from Musk. Truly a visionary leader with no equal in the world of business. You know your business planning is flawless when after firing the employees you figure out that you actually still need some of them to do the job from which they were fired from. Also nothing motivates a diligent employee more than being fired off out of the blue and then being asked back to a job with very little job security in it.
All those people he hired back will jump ship at the first opportunity, as they should.
Theyll get fired eventually
I would demand to retain any severance benefits.
Does Musk really know what he is doing?
no. for how this idiot treats his employees, he doesn't deserve a single one of them. i would never work for him.
No. Why don't you go and start your own super charger Network and teach Musk how it's done.
@@sptp8226the car portion of this company will be dwarfed by tech soon… Craig Irwin is a joke, no idea how people trust him with their money.. him and Gordon Johnson dumb and dumber
Don’t worry bruh, he knows more about manufacturing than anyone currently alive on earth.
@@achasilas6535if we could afford it, we would.
For the 10 billion spend on FSD Tesla could already be making a nice little hatchback and selling all of them.
If they just gave Musk the boot they could gain millions of customers.
@@damham5689 And imagine how much better the products would get.
Totally agree with the analysis. Get the laid off people back and focus on cars and customer satisfaction.
Hard to focus on anything after treating your employees so badly. Everyones just looking for another job.
@@TheBoobanVery true 😢
@TheBooban agreed, these employees are coming back to just take the check until they get another job. Many probably want to get back into their computers to get their work product and take it with them.
Elon please fly to Mars and stay there.
He makes sense. Car company problems, with tech company aspirations. 100%
I was concerned about the auto unions but wow this company is just asking for a union
Thoughts with Elon by Fahim Anwar is funny AF.
I would ask for double pay and a signing bonus as a war chest against future Elon mood swings. Too much risk. Elon seems to be stuck in opposite world so since the energy storage team is doing well they will be fired next.
I agree. Elon is horribly harming Tesla; by not shepherding all the assets hundreds or thousands of employees have spent 15 years building. A great leader should walk humbly in the world. Tesla is not Mr. Musk. Tesla is the employees of Tesla that act to build, maintain, repair, manufacture, distribute, and market the products of Tesla. Elon's buying of X without long-term financing and the selling of stock to serve his personal needs, this failure harmed the employees and market stockholders. Ditto when Mr. Muck failed to have a steady stock-selling plan that was needed to correctly fund his living needs and pay his great tax liability. That harm occurred in public as Musk sold stock in the market driving down the stock price, to meet his tax needs.
@@deangg8yes so horrible, oh wait tho he made investors huge money over the years… lots of doubters over the years that are broke mofos now
Why would you go back if you know how little you are valued and how quickly you position can become irrelevant.
Was the reporting even accurate about the layoffs of the supercharger division in the 1st place? Likely not.
Only to be laid off again lol. Wait for it
When you don't know how to run a company, it's like blindly throwing darts at a dartboard to see what to do next.
Tesla's or more specifically Musk's more recent decisions, the flip flopping over supercharging, the reduction in head count, the focus on RoboTaxi, and the delay to a low cost EV model, all these seem to be symptoms from someone who is in more financial difficulty than they care to admit.
What is so absurd is that in the same breath as announcing cuts and saying "There is nothing I hate more,", he is demanding a $50Billion pay day.
Craig If Craig knows so much, why not become the CEO of another Car company & compete with Tesla? 🤷🏾♂️
Elon Musk at his best .., behaves like a spoiled kid instead of a focused CEO
Musk with his classic bear trap🤑
In stead of building the mini car , he spends billions building the ciber truck .. who asked him for steer by wire ?..all he had to do is produce an electic model y pickup truck .. and he would have put the F150 to death ..
Elo-Usk.. best and knows all about human resource than anyone in the world 😂
Chinese car companies building plants in Mexico.
Insanity
Like these air heads know anything about running a multi billion company. 😂
Every one should buy a ev because gas is expensive
What a joke.
Tesla and Elon Musk have gone into the meme realm.
From a pre-open price above 181.00 this morning, to drop to 173.11 barely an hour later is indicative of how Tesla's share price is being manipulated.
Nobody wants a Tesla garbage
