@wintermetmaid , no even though many of them did graduate from Navarro as of this recording Texas tech is a 4 year university in division 1A and Navarro is a junior college , the difference is Navarro is specialized in getting ur associates degree and is for 2 year community / feeder college while Texas tech is a 4 year university The divisions are based on how many students are at the school Junior college/ community college ( NAIA : national association of intercollegiate athletics : at least 1000 students where you can get ur associates degree , 2 year schools also known as feeder schools) Division 1 ( at least a football team : 5000-10,000 students ( the division weber state was in until 2022 ) Division 2 ( at least a football or basketball team : 10,000 students or more ( teams like Sacramento state ) Division 3 ( at least one of the aforementioned plus a baseball team : 10,000 students or more ( teams like Towson university ) Division 1A ( at least a basketball and or football team that goes to the NCAA BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT ) : 50,000 students or more teams like Texas tech , Oklahoma state and Louisville
