- নরেন্দ্র মোদী ২০১৪ সালে ক্ষমতায় আসার পর তার সরকার প্রতিবেশী দেশগুলোর সঙ্গে ভারতের সম্পর্ক উন্নয়নে 'নেইবারহুড ফার্স্ট’ নীতি চালু করে। কিন্তু সাম্প্রতিক সময়ে ভারত তার বেশ কয়েকটি প্রতিবেশী দেশের সঙ্গে সংঘাতে জড়িয়েছে। এতে করে তাদের 'নেইবারহুড ফার্স্ট’ নীতি প্রশ্নের মুখোমুখি বলে মনে করছেন বিশ্লেষকেরা। আন্তর্জাতিক সংবাদ মাধ্যম বিবিসিতে উঠে এসেছে এ তথ্য।

বাংলাদেশের সাথে ও তার প্রতিবেশীর সম্পর্ক ভালোনা, ভারত, বার্মা সবার সাথে দ্বন্দ্ব লেগে থাকে। তাহলে ভারত সম্পর্কে বলার আগে বাংলাদেশের সম্পর্কে ও একটু বলেন যে, পৃথিবীর একমাত্র দেশ বাংলাদেশ যার কোনো প্রতিবেশীর সঙ্গেই তার সম্পর্ক ভালো নয়।
বাংলাদেশ অন্য দেশের ইন্টারনাল বিষয়ে ছোটলোকের মত নাক গলায় না।
