I had the same issues with my Stribog using the exact same Blazer ammo recently at the range. I have the Sp9a1 but I was having the same issue. I also use both the original mags and the steel lip mags as well. No matter what mag I used it hated the Blazer ammo.
So I ended up buying a Stribog A1 gen 2 two weeks ago lol I was in Miami and this shop I would shop at had them at a real good price. I finally took it out to shoot yesterday, I feed it 250 rds with my wolf man suppressor. Mine was running like a champ, I only had to failures. A failure to feed when the round count hit 3 in the mag, the rounds rim had shifter left from the right bank of the stack. And a stove pipe on last round. These failures happened at least 50 rounds from each other. I had my Wolfman HOT lol Other then that I was shooting it with no optic just the standard plastic sights that the gun comes with and I must say I'm impressed. This thing shoots accurate and thr trigger that it came with is perfect for this platform in my eyes. The only two things I want to change on it is the HBI short stroke buffer, because I found the random recoil Impulse to be annoying. Also I do want to get the HBI changing handle detent block because I feel that this polymer one is adding felt resistance when charging the wepon. I oiled it up but I noticed that the finish inside the receiver and the bolt assembly is crap lol feels like egg shell. This gun is a hit or miss from all the videos I've seen on it but I guess mine is a hit because it was running great for its first 250 Rds.
Colt mags are straight and have no issue with the stribog. I have the A3 version and have no issue running subs or frangible ammo. From the heaviest to the lightest load.. it runs.
Thanks for the review. I love my Stribog but dislike the magazines. I ended up building a lower from A3 tactical which uses Magpul scorpion mags. Magpul Mags are tight but no spent cases stuck behind the bolt or constant failure to feeds. I think it’s a great gun but the biggest issue is the magazines.
Honestly the only thing that held me back from choosing the stribog over the GHM9 I wanted the stribog because the price was right and the looks of the pistol also. I was worried that if I went with the stribog I would be unlucky and have the mag problems. So I went with the GHM9 with the glock lower lol. I was reading that ppl were cracking the B&T mags by dropping them. Don't know how 100% true it was but I compromised the looks of a straight fed mag for the awkward tilt of glock fed mags 🤣 Pretty sure once that mag issue if fixed on the stribog and if price is still kept in the lows it might be the most value PCC. Hell I'll definitely go out and buy it and give my GHM9 a playmate

Did you give up on your bog? Rounds are slamming into the barrel without discharging and I have to push them out. A3T SP9A3s.
How did you remove the base plate from the magazine?

Yea I thought about running colt mags but decided to go with the A3 lower instead. Glad I did. Runs like a clock now, not a single malfunction.

Agreed! Ive had no FTF or FTE issues since I made the switch to the A3 lower.
