When i saw clips of level up pop up in my recommendations thanks to one, some of them had the gummy bear character in the thumbnail, when i saw them i had the idea of also making a object show with more detailed characters than just a pile of random things, each with the same body parts copy and pasted across each other, but after a while i had to stop myself because if i did make it people would have thought i was copying the amazing digital circus, so now i have a pile of character ideas i can't use, at least as a object show-esc cartoon

hi gang im actually the creator of kitty in object trek. so let me yap for a bit i made the character when i was like 11-14 i think? somewhere around there, so that probably explains a lot. I also voice acted her too [ I was literally the ONLY other voice actor other than the creator himself ] Although I wasn't the one who made the asset, the creator did [ he made all of the assets if i remember correctly. ] me and the creator of the show actually knew each other irl, both of us went to the same private school meant for people with mental disorders or otherwise badly mentally ill. That probably tells you stuff. he was also a lot older than me btw, i know that sounds bad but trust me he didn't do anything bad to me, he was still a nice person and cool to hung around with. Regardless, I still had fun working on the show, even now i see that its bad nowadays LMAO. every now and then i see object trek resurface, and although i DIE INSIDE by the horrible voice acting I did. It did partly spark my love for creating and improvement. So I can't help but secretly love it. I'm someone whose only watched like. 3 Object Shows, and none of them were BFDI or II or whatever. So it was strange to see this in my recs and I just thought this video was going to talk about some good object shows that're infamous in the "osc" and then it turns out the video is talking about "controversial" object shows. To a non fan, this video feels like a fever dream because I genuinely have zero idea of anything you're talking about and the previews of the object shows are like. The most bare bones of "edgy" or "sexual" or etc things to make them controversial. It also felt strange to know this is probably what I'd sound like if I ever made a video talking about one of my own interests with my own voice. Good video, I'm more confused though than when I first clicked on the video though and I don't know if that's good or bad. I enjoy how chill your voice and talking is though, best part of the video.
Honestly Object Terror had potential and isn't that bad, if only it was going towards horror instead of comedy Object Terror, especially ep4 and ep5, was geared towards horror. If the creator removed most comedy elements it would be a good show

Level Up seems a little bit out of place next to some of the legitimately poorly made and controversial shows on this list. Also, I'm fine with Gummy Bear's design. Not gonna throw stones and say "oh you're being fatphobic because they're an overweight character," obviously, it definitely doesn't really seem like something that'd be in an object show and I understand where you're coming from there, but I think Gummy Bear (and Dolly) are fine designs.
i do believe level up was the least controversial out of these shows i needed a 6th well known pick and as someone who watched level up when it premiered the feeling around the characters was hard to ignore although i do actually enjoy the show which is why i ranked it first

Even after the show's cancellation after episode 11, I used this self-insert character much more often. At first (in 2019) my OC didn't have a bow tie, and the skin is as light as a sheet of paper. In August (still 2019), I gave it a skin tone. In 2022, I gave it a bow tie. And finally, this year I decided to give it some blue boxing gloves, and blue shoes. This is just an old pfp keep in mind.
I watched object trek a few years ago. liked it (somehow) forgot about it. Remembered everything but the name. And only remembered about it because of this video

@@ChillagerTheScot Yeah, kinda. At first I made my character for a show I made back in 2019 under a different animation website. Even after the show's cancellation after episode 11, I used this self-insert character much more often. At first (in 2019) my OC didn't have a bow tie, and the skin is as light as a sheet of paper. In August (still 2019), I gave it a skin tone. In 2022, I gave it a bow tie. And finally, this year I decided to give it some blue boxing gloves, and blue shoes. This is just an old pfp keep in mind.

I know this is unrelated, BUT I LOVE PINKERTON! I was so surprised to hear a song from the album in an object show video, and even more surprised it was the first song in the video. Pinkerton is my third favorite album, right behind “American Idiot” by Green Day and “The Black Parade” by MCR.
