O melhor órgão de tubos da Europa. Imponente, potente, majestoso e de uma sonoridade magnífica. Feliz Aniversário para o órgão da Igreja de Santa Maria Madalena.
Dear Nelson, Perhaps you would like to rethink that comment. I am an organist myself and I only EXTREMELY rarely do I post anything negative unless I think the organist needs some advice or if it is so bad, that it makes me cringe. So thank you for taking your time to read this, and I hope you take this to mind.
As an organist, I usually just marvel at the beauty of the organ and art of the performers. I don't really enjoy people playing Gigi d'Agostino in a church, but in that case I rather don't comment...
@@phulnelson hah, yeah, but I used to flame as well. Constructive criticism is good, but needs to be constructive, and for that it needs to be educated and that's not so easy, that's why people don't usually do that and just flame... Waste of their time honestly 🙂
Thanks Suz-that was beautiful. Reminds me of Gary on the great organ at Furman University and the one at the Church of the Heavenly Rest. What a life our family has had and will continue to have! Noone has been as fortunate as me, to have you as such a loving daughter and fantastic Mother and Wife to Dr. Rich.
Excuse my rudeness but the right orthograph is "Bon anniversaire" even if it's pronounced "Bonn' or bonne" due to the liaison between "bon" and "anniversaire". "Anniversaire" is male gender in french and the adjective too. "Bon_anniversaire" or "bonanniversaire" Bon anniversaire Mr Pierre Bardon pour ces 50 ans de bons et loyaux service à la tribune de cet orgue fabuleux.
Well, I have contrived to make this, my xxxxth return to this wonderful recording, its 1000th view. A very happy 22nd birthday indeed to Lawrence Thain FRCO (remove the spaces and that's the name of his EXCELLENT RUclips channel), whom I have known since he was 11 and is now organist at Grace Cathedral in San Francisco, presiding over a large and fabulous Aeolian-Skinner organ, about as far removed in style from the equally wonderful Isnard as you can imagine...
It was recorded with a respectable digital sound recorder. But this instrument is different from others and a shock to the ears. ruclips.net/video/wSf7-4t_SWc/видео.html was recorded with the same recorder.
latribe I’m just saying, it sounds more like a mess of sound then actually hearing each of the notes. It’s sound very distorted and it’s being played way too fast considering the acoustics, and it sounds very distant. The pipes sound old and out of tune, and some of the pipes sound more like a box of whistles.

My birthday is October 16. Thank you for the happy birthday song!
Why do three people dislike this! Wish I could have this for my own birthday!
as usual, you can tell which comments are by organists, because they're always the negative ones.
this is a delightful improvisation!

@@TheJakeman789 "The pipes sounds old" Of course it sounds old because the organ was built in the 1770'
