I do like the movie, because it is different. Besides the fact that Anne talks to the camera, it has a "modern" feel to it & characters are exactly true to the novel, so I think that's why many don't like it. I don't ever expect movies to be like the books...it is not possible. I also think modern adaptations, sometimes, to classics can be quite fun.
Love the possibilities you have in the space so you can make it your own! I am so happy for you and your husband on this new adventure.
