Dear rog, I personally think rog ally is a very good device, if you read my comment, please make the screen border as small as possible, the black border on rog ally is quite thick, it looks quite real. Compared to other products on the market, the SD card should be placed in a different location because it is very hot and can easily damage the SD card. The battery has some extra space. I think the battery will be better in rog ally 2 or rog ally oled. something in the future, but the current software and user experience are very satisfied with most people, hope you guys will improve in the next ally version, I love rog
I’ve received an Armoury Crate update and this video was recommended for me. At first I was a bit annoyed, because I was sure that I had explored my Ally along and across, but I decided to give it a chance and did not regret it. I didn’t know about the option of holding the Сommand Сenter and Armoury Crate button. Also, I believe that I will find the optimal set up for Genshin Impact.
Additionally, I want to vote for keeping the 1080p resolution and leaving the form factor the same. To me, compact Rog Ally’s body is close to ideal. Also, I am not a fan of detachable controllers like Nintendo Switch. I prefer simple, reliable, modifiable and repairable platform in PC logic rather than expensive gimmicks. I absolutely agree with the necessity of 2 USB ports. One for power, one for power and video transfer to an external monitor with the AMD FreeSync feature available. Please, place both of them on the top of the device. The bottom is not accessible in dock mode anyway. Don’t make the same mistakes as other competitors.
Plus use a dock station if you do decide to use sd cards, whether it's a dock station with sd card slots or usb 3.0 if you have a sd card receiver or flashdrive
The hardware and design are top-notch; however, dealing with Windows was quite frustrating. It took me a couple of hours to update and set up, which was quite a hassle. Moreover, the unit had issues with Windows, as it wouldn't go to sleep properly when playing AAA games. I reached a point where I had enough with this unit and decided to sell it after just two weeks. In contrast, the Steam Deck with OLED is a much better option compared to the issues I faced with Windows.
Still can't connect my steam to network the only showing is bluetooth connections and proxy, even im connected to my wifi, my network won't show up in steam setup, I'm stuck here for 2 days can't play any games the first day i purchased this damn thing, im returning this device tomorrow to best buy not for me i guess I'll buy the steam deck i guess
Just bring out Ally 2 with VRR OLED 8” display with a functioning SD card reader and dual USB4 ports and make it in black for next year, don’t even bother with this first version. Oh yeah, keep those speakers- they are amazing!

Is anyone else having SD Card problems? I bought 1TB SD Card and plugged it into Ally, and it worked for a week, then died on me.. I think am going to really have to install a NVme SD in that thing!!
My command so is it there it’s not showing all those icons. This is the third one I’ve had. I’ve had to bring that to for the same issue when I’m trying to play a game like boulders gate three it’s just kicking me off controller mode and it’s putting me on desktop mode. It’s getting frustrating and yes everything is up-to-date
What if my stock speakers, headphone jack, blue tooth, and launching games all doesn't work after set up and updates? This has been a nightmare trying everything.

Mine didn't even come with armoury crate? It's just normal windows, and nothing works. Can't get the on screen keyboard to come up, which prevents me from connecting to network or searching for the armoury crate app. This thing is a dud
The game pass stuff, with the 3 month, does not apply for repackaged products. So if someone gets an ally, doest no like it and returns it after a day, and then you buy it, you wont get the game pass 3 months.

Trying to see how I can access my games saved from from Xbox series X. (Specifically Fallout 3) I got game pass. Downloaded Fallout 3 and got it running but from my Xbox account I am not able to play from saved games and have to start a new game. I synced my Rog Ally to my phone, do I need to sync it to Series X to continue from my saved files from it to play them on the Rog Ally?
Sign in the correct account. If that doesn't work, then try using the cloud feature. Personally I haven't played Fallout before but that should be automatic.
HEY .... Brothers from Asus , Rogue Ally team... tell your manufacturer that ... Spare in thermal paste , or almost the lack of it is no way what we wait for !!! I bought my machine last September and today i changed the thermal paste and to my surprise, it was DRY and was almost NON EXISTENT, in the middle of the Chip was none !!! no more problems now !!! No wonder it was getting hot as hell ! But its a Brutal machine you done !! Hat's up to your work!🫵💯💪

Ich muss ganz ehrlich sagen, das Asus ROG Ally hat die bisher schlechteste Verarbeitung was ich bei Computern und Konsolen gesehen und getestet habe. Habe 2 Geräte und das erste war nach 3 Monaten defekt, Trigger Taste Links defekt, Spulenfiepen, Spiele liefen ruckelig und FPS Einbrüche durch schlechte Kühlung bei Spielzeiten von länger als 30 Minuten. Dann der SD Kartenslot wird so heiß dass alle SD Karten geschmolzen sind. Das zweite Gerät die selben Fehler, nur diesmal war es der rechte Trigger und Asus ignoriert bei der Reparatur einfach den Fehler. Dann habe ich das Asus ROG Phone und das ist OK aber viele Spiele nicht kompatibel, dann das Kunai Gamepad 3 auch billigste Verarbeitung bei den Trigger Tasten. Ich bin durch mit Asus, werde künftig nie wieder Produkte von Asus kaufen. Ist echt eine sehr schlechte Qualitätskontrolle
Does the ally not have a direct power usage when plugged in? I noticed when I go turbo and docked, the ally looses battery while playing games (AAA games) even though it's plugged in..
Y'all need to jump off the E-waste bandwagon. make a simple upgradable gpu enclosure that looks professional. instead have to be obvious money grabbers with crappy solution that doesn't allow 3rd party e-gpu.
And still loud as hell, and need to wait for “steam deck compatible” and this can effortlessly run steam os, runs games just a little better than a ps4, need proton to do anything cool, the list goes on and on. Oh! You even came to this video. Clearly the SD hasnt won you over😏
Please improve quality control first. Then release the ROG ALLY version with improved cooling system, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD NVME and 50Wh battery to ensure sufficient battery life in 15W performance mode. Thanks.

Secondly, I've read a lot of bad things about their technical support.
