  • Stop buying AppSumo deals! You might have shiny object syndrome if you can't stop buying appsumo deals.
Choosing the right niche for your funnel business training: sellyourservic...
In this video I'm going to talk about why AppSumo never makes anyone money and why you're not saving money when you use AppSumo.
    The blog: sellyourservic...
    The Facebook Group: / sysmastermind
    About this video:
AppSumo deals seem like a great investment, but when AppSumo vooplayer or AppSumo briefcase are bought, they're not saving anyone any money and you'll NEVER find a wealthy person who has shiny object syndrome or who reads AppSumo reviews or buys Appsumo deals!

Hey Mike/Sell Your Servicify (sorry couldn't resist) appsumo deals make affiliates money haha, I think the biggest cause of shiny object syndrome for people who want to make a side or full time income online is they don't really have a solid plan/idea for a business, so they get tempted by push button stuff and "secrets". Or they end up being affiliates for shite products without even knowing if the product is even any good. Pete

THAT is a really good point! Ah you're absolutely right! I hadn't thought of that. I'll add that in the next video (: Great comment.

@@SellYourService Thanks Mike :) Affiliate marketing is a good option for people starting out and I have no issue with it in general BUT it's the affiliate aspect that has really muddied the waters especially in the make money/marketing world, with fake reviews/launch jacking/affiliate competitions/bonuses etc If you look at a product like clickfunnels for example which is average in all areas at best, I understand how it might help some people and I have no issue with Russell he's a smart marketer and seems like a nice guy, but the way it's touted by affiliates in particular you can tell they generally have little interest in whether it's the right fit for their audience, and at those price points it's definitely not for beginners. Anyone reading this If you go down the affiliate marketing route my advice is only promote products you use and believe in, add value by showing them how they can use/benefit from the product, who is it for, not just by reading the bullet points on the sales page or sending out the canned emails, your audience will thank you for it and they will trust your judgement for other products in future.

AppSumo may not make anyone rich - but they sure do help out independent freelancers with getting started. If you can acquire lifetime access to a shopping cart tool, for instance, which doesn't take fees from you on top of the PayPal or Stripe fees, that can be VERY useful to get a small business started. It used to be that you could purchase software and you could use it until there were enough upgrades to the operating system or hardware that it no longer worked. This benefitted itty-bitty businesses a LOT. Now, everyone wants to charge an on-going monthly fee, and they seem very fond of their creations. It makes it extremely difficult to launch a business underneath all that overhead. AppSumo is fulfilling needs for itty-bitty start ups! And yes, not all deals scale - and at some point you'll have to level up and deal with the monthly fees - and hopefully by then you'll have enough customers to actually be able to afford the monthly fees.

I totally disagree. I have never bought any appsumo deal to make me a millionaire.
I buy because they help me with some tasks. I really wonder why you didn't do a review without promoting yiur training. To me this video is about his training.

That's fair, I don't think anyone buys AS deals to become a millionaire. I guess that's what I was trying to get across in the video. I think it's OK to promote my content in my own videos on my own channel, isn't it? Thanks for commenting!

I don't get why you are talking about AppSumo deals are bad and they won't get you rich? Why would anyone believe that buying a software tool would get them rich? There are many great deals on AppSumo, $49 for lifetime access to a software product is amazing. Sure some of them will be a bust and not worth it. But many of them will be a huge money saver in the long term if you buy the software for the right reason. Meaning, buy it because you need it and will use it. Not because it's a lifetime deal. Also AppSumo offers 60 days no questions asked refund. If you feel you made a bad decision, just get your money back. I don't see the reason for this negative video.

i'm a Sumoling for life and no REGRETS my one stop appshop, AppSumo never promised anyone to get Rich, rather you save on monthly payments, for example i was paying $54 a month on one proposal software PANDADOC and i bought an alternative NUSSI for a one time fee 2 to 3 years later how do you think i would have paid, most that i bought last longer than those JVZOO which work for 6 months to a year

I think this message is for Newbs who are just starting out and don't have any direction, that is why your core subscribers and those that are attracted to your channel are not feeling it. This is why this video is disliked. You are speaking to us like we are Newbs trying to find out what we want to do online.
We are a little more seasoned and have graduated from the things discussed in this video. Whether a tool to be used in your business is from the corner store or Appsumo, it should bring value to your business and support your short or long term goals. We get it.
I would stop promoting this elementary video to your core, and continue to provide value assuming that we are here for the rich knowledge you provide on funnel building. By the way, your book rocks!

I believe this is ironically quite a click bait with little value to the appsumo crowd, yet I can only speak for myself. I would say people see through the basic marketing tricks they use and their fancy copy, the audience of the site are marketers and business people. If there's reasons to not buy the deals, it'll have to be deeper and better researched than these points that only scratch the surface, at least for me.

Appsumo rejected me as an affiliate because they don't take every other affiliate to promote their stuff. Second Appsumo is not selling shiny objects to make you rich, it gives you ample options to run your business smoothly. The onus is on you to take it or not. Going by your logic and arguments everyone should stop buying digital stuff from every online marketplace.

Still part of AppSumo Annonymous - it’s my guilty pleasure. I recently bought a funnel builder plus lifetime cPanel hosting from them. That’s it for me, but I do love their recent Ocoya deal. If I don’t find myself using a tool I refund for credits before the 60 days trial/ cooling off period to use on my next experiment.
Totally agree there needs to be a business strategy first and don’t subscribe to FOMO!

Lots or hate on the comment section ahaha. But I watched your video 4 months ago before I started Appsumo and It helped me tonnes to ton down the brain. I was very very careful with my purchases and only buy tools that I really need, or save me time. Half of it I can just build myself (if you’re a developer), but it does save some time some of them are really good.
5th months later I stopped buying only go for window shopping/ get ideas/ buy to test the hype- refund, and go to github found an equivalent if not better tool.
Checked forums and learnt to tinker abit. Made my own video hosting, screen recording, vpn, that costs less than $5 a month. 12 months its just $60. And I can upgrade it as I wish to whatever I want.

I already answered that. Those software allowed me to improve my service offerings, marketing and reporting, while saving me thousands of dollars. Savings equal money already. Increased efficiency means less time waste, which is more money savings cause I now can clean my house on my own instead of paying a cleaner. That’s $300 a month savings right there. On top of that, with better services, I raised my prices, getting more money in at no extra monthly operational cost. I don’t know about you but I make money out of these deals.
Appsumo deals alone, as any other deal on the internet, will not make you rich, but when used intelligently, they can be a real asset for growth.

@@SellYourService Dude, stop your ego trip! He said it, can you read "It didn’t make me rich but it lowered my cost of operation!". So stop the broken disk. @brightpluginsWP Год назад +1

I mean, I tried to listen to your rant, but it's just that a rant. It is a great place to even list a product because you are getting a focus group that pays you, not the other way around. On the flip side as a user, you get to see at a very fraction of the price all sorts of apps and get them for life. Even if 3 out of 10 of them work for you, you are saving thousands a year. I mean your whole argument is like a turd taco with zero cred sauce.

    • @SellYourService
      @SellYourService  Год назад

Saving money does not equal making money. You sure can save money, but the point (it's even in the title) is that saving money won't make you money. Business owners who want to make more money cannot do so by trying to save money. It's a hard lesson to learn but an important one.
