    Merlyn Joseph, MBBS, MD, DNB: St. John’s Medical College Hospital
    Mental health status of migrant workers in the tea plantation industry of South India - a mixed methods study.
    Dr. Joseph is a senior resident in the Department of Community Health, St. John’s Medical College Hospital, Bangalore, whose interests lie in the field of occupational health, especially migrant health issues.
    Archana Verma, PhD: St. John’s Research Institute (SJRI)
    Understanding cervical cancer stigma, HPV vaccination awareness and acceptance among adolescents and young adults living with HIV in India:
    a step towards the elimination of cervical cancer by 2030
    Dr. Verma is an anthropologist and socio-behavioral research scientist focused on HIV prevention and care, co-infections, and psychosocial health among vulnerable populations including adolescents, women, injecting drug users, and LGBT.
    Deepa Srinivasan, MD: St. John’s Research Institute (SJRI)
    Culturally sensitive risk reduction strategies for cardiovascular disease centered on optimal uptake of evidence-based treatments among patients with multimorbidity in a resource-constrained tribal setting - INTEGRATE
    ­­­
    Dr. Srinivasan is a public health specialist with a background in medicine who seeks to identify culturally sensitive strategies aimed at improving adherence to non-communicable disease treatments among tribal populations.
    This panel presentation is hosted by the NIH/Fogarty GloCal Health Fellowship Program in the UC Global Health Institute (UCGHI). The GloCal Health Fellowship provides aspiring global health researchers with outstanding interdisciplinary education and training in innovative research designed to improve health for populations around the world. A career development fellowship sponsored by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Fogarty International Center (FIC), this program supports awarded fellows from all 10 UC campuses as well as 22 affiliated international sites across 18 countries.
    The Institute for Global Health Sciences (IGHS) at UCSF manages and supports the GloCal Health Fellowship for UCGHI.
