I hope you're able to go to another and you like the next one more!! You mention being shy and awkward so much but I can never tell. You just seem so warm and approachable 😊 and I hope you're loving Georgia!!!
Georgia artist here! I am right there with you; I have severe anxiety and don't do well interacting with people so I don't do well at cons. Atlanta Comic Cons, from many of my friends experiences, is not a very good one. In general, I and others have done much better at Momocon and even AWA! 😭😭 Nice work for still putting yourself out there though, I'm rooting for you!~ 💕
Conventions are always a different experience it seems like :0 I'm sorry this one didn't go too well--but I think you'll do great in ones that value their artists more :D
Hello! I was at this con. You can see me behind you, the guy in the hat, my gf is wearing green. I was there for every hour of the con, and let me say, you didn’t miss anything. I do OK at most other events I go to and I didn’t even make table.
heyhey! some quick advice! I used to have this problem too when making reflective stickers, cut out the reflective sheet BEFORE the black registration line or redraw the black registration line on top of the reflective sheet. It was pretty tough figuring it out but it works for me every time now :)
Oh really, do you mean peel the part with the registration marks? I think I understand, I will give that a try, thanks a lot Kim ⁽⁽ଘ( ˊᵕˋ )ଓ⁾⁾ I actually got a whole different cutting machine by brother, it's the scan n cut, it does not need registration marks but it also still struggles cutting my holo stickers so I might go back and try this trick with the cricut, holo stickers are my best sellers
Even small artist deserve to be noticed at conventions im really happy you went really wish you were at supercon tho I’m Miami or Fort Lauderdale I hope you can do more cons ❤
😭😭 aww thank you, I used to be local to Miami, I did FL Supercon last year, south Florida does have more anime cons but the drive is too much for me now since I'm in Georgia, I did vlog the 2 Florida cons I did last year, I just didn't really know what I was doing at the time so I recorded everything, making the footage super long, I will get to it eventually to I can share my experience on here too, it's been my best con to date
Omg that so cool, thanks a lot (´∩。• ᵕ •。∩`) I'm so happy you have them on ur sketchbook, it was a dream of mines for someone to like my art enough to have it on ther personal items 🤧😭💖💖 so thanks a lot again
I’m going to a convention tomorrow so I stumbled upon this video. It’s so surprising to see not many people there, the one I go to every year is one of the only anime conventions in Toronto ( anime north), it’s so packed there’s barely space to walk, it’s sad to see other cons without many people being in the artist alley. I hope you do well as you continue forward, your art style is so cute and the pencil cases are adorable 😍 keep up the amazing work!
Right? Every convention I’ve been too it’s been mobbed with people! I think maybe another event may have been happening or they didn’t market this that well.
I don’t know if you know the scotch tape hack for cricut, but if you put a strip of matte scotch tape over the registration marks it should fix the problem with the machine not cutting the stickers properly. I’ve found that out kinda recently myself and it has been a lifesaver. Cricut does not like to cut glossy or reflective paper 😅
@@Carritube I can back up this solution, it works for me with all glossy, holographic and sparkly paper. You only need to put matte tape on the corners of the registration lines, where the Cricut reads, not along the entire line :)
Oh no this convention was pretty slow overall . Mostly focus on big celebrities guest. Sadly some of the artist didn’t break even on this convention. The cons I recommend for artist alley in Ga is Anime Weekend Atlanta or Momocon .
I’ve been seriously thinking about just buying everything you sell on your website…your art and products are awesome. It’s my birthday today, maybe I’ll treat myself :)
aww ♡⸜(˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶)⸝♡ Happy Birthday💕 that would mean the world to me, if you decide to order anything on my shop, leave a note on your order so I can add a bonus birthday surprise. Regardless, I hope your able to have a fantastic birthday, I celebrated mines last month
New sub here, I am so happy to find your as a fellow GA resident! Will you be selling enamel pins in the future? I started my pin collection in January, and now have 400+ pins. I've looked on your online shop and LOVE your art work, especially of little Anya. I adore her! I hope to order from you here soon!
(≧∇≦)b tysm Stephanie, I do plan on to in the figure, since they do take a bit to manufacturer, working on a mini store update to have the pencil case featured in this video on my store soon, hoping to sell the full inventory I sell in person on my shop as well, hope I'm able to see you at some of the GA cons, I just applied to this mini con in Marietta, and hoping I get in for AWA. Thanks a lot again for your kind words and support
When using your cricut, you have to make sure that the registration marks are exposed so the machine can pick it up. So try cutting the paper down to fit inside of the registration box
Thank you for your insight, this was a really good video. I tabled at this convention as well. I spent almost $300 on the table. This did not include hotel, travel, food, parking, etc. So it was a bummer I did not make my money back, but I made some good connections and I learned a lot. I might keep it local for now. The only cons I wanna go to that's out my area AnimeNYC and J1-Con in New Jersey. Also I used to live at Florida as well, but now I live near Savannah GA. I personally wished I made the move sooner, I think GA is a lot better in terms of making connections and such (as well as not dealing with B.S. that going on down there😒).
Oh wow, I wish you would have promoted it I'm in Atlanta I would've come through.... But I didn't go to Atl Comic-Con this year because of the issues that you did mention but the one in the January Atlanta Comic convention is smaller and fun
oh really thats so cool, I got in pretty last minute that I didn't get a chance to promote it much outside of instagram and twitter, woah didnt know about the smaller "Atlanta Comic convention", looks like their run by a totally different vendor, compared to "ATL Comic Convention" , by looking at the names you'd think their the same thing lol, thanks for letting me know, might apply for it next year
