It’s totally worth it so if you ever get a chance to eat there, effing do it. It changed my perspective on what a great dining experience really means.

It's an investment intended to generate more money. What separates the rich from the poor isn't the amount of money in their bank account, it's how they spend it. $2M is a small price for the kind of money Gordon makes from this restaurant and the international prestige it brings him.

@@z0ttel89 I actually agree with you, the system is such that money grows more money exponentially. The gap between rich and poor grows and often the people with all the wealth didn't do anything productive to deserve it. I agree with that part, though it's still possible to make a good living with hard work, some wise investment and some luck. People do it all the time. Ramsay is one of these people, he brings value, worked hard to be recognized and has been compensated for it.

There are many talented people in this world who work just as hard; but life is unfair most of the times. I mean there are people who got Michelin stars at a younger age than Gordon Ramsay. Kitchen SURE has changed since the early days of the restaurant as covered in the excellent documentary series "Boiling Point" & "Beyond Boiling Point".
This would be a GREAT time to do another series like that. One that's literally like a fly-on-the-wall, behind the scenes as things unfold. Ramsay's a great presenter as well as a chef but it would be nice to see him without a script, back to running his 3 star restaurant that's got his name on it & also managing his expanding restaurant empire while at the same time, focusing on what it's like at home with he and his wife raising a brand new baby boy.
You could call it "Gordon Ramsay: Rolling Boil" or something like that.
