This debate is easily solved were going to make the playoffs with either of them but which one gives us the best chance to rumble with boston ny and Milwaukee and come out of the east?? i would love Butler, but, George makes more sense from a team building standpoint. He leaves picks to trade for someone like Caruso. WIth that team you only need a traditional 4 instead of a stretch 4 which are more expensive and hardger to get. WIth Maxey, Embiid, George, Caruso (for argument sake) and amn athletic rebounder/rim protector at the 4 is a great team.
We need someone with that dawg in him to pick Embiid up in the playoffs. Jimmy’s never back down even when your down attitude is exactly what we need to keep us going in tough playoff scenarios. Jimmy would be the backbone that PG could never be for this team.

The math is simple. The sixers need help in the playoffs; they are a fine regular season team. PG-13/Pandemic P ‘shrinks’ in the playoffs. Jimmy ‘elevates’ in the playoffs. PG doesn’t have the mentality to push the team/ownership to do better and make better decisions, and Jimmy, with a relentlessness, does. I don’t see the debate here other than shooting efficiency, and if that’s the case, they can build on Butler’s shotmaking over the season. Paul be perfect if embid had dog mentality!! As embid fan, we got enough but health n inability to post hurts this team. Chasing aging stars very risky. I think Paul George is a great complementary player but I don't think he can push you over the top . It's a huge bet on Jimmy's age and health but he definitely has more offensive ceiling than PG. But you need that to win a championship.
So after you give up your best picks to get Bridges what can you offer for Caruso? Bulls are not going to tkae a couple 2nd rounders - they know his worth.

And Paul right now is just as good as a defender than jimmy and he can play the 4 he’s also a great passer but his defense is what we need he is taller and has better length longer wing span
