Halie ! I wish I could hug you ! I think we can all agree that we all are going through a lot of things . My brother passed away unexpectedly and a year later my father was diagnosed with terminal cancer and has since passed . When I tell you that therapy was a must ! And shout out to my lexapro 😂 But I just want to say that , silencing your mental health is like self abandonment, to really know us is to know those parts of us . Those who support you , will be willing to love those pieces of you. So keep sharing your battles with mental health. You never know who you are inspiring We love you ! 💕🌹 xoxo

Love your video, Halie! Thank you for updating us on what's has been happening in your life lately! I'm sorry that you lost your job! I hope you find a new one soon! Sorry to hear that you & Bryson broke up! I know a lot of people have been asking about it in your recent videos & we, myself included, wanted to respect your privacy despite all that but I'm glad you got it all out & that people can finally take the hint & stop asking! Love your painted pumpkin & then taking it & smashing it to pieces! Now that's how you get rid of all the anger, stress & negative energy inside of you & focus on the positive! I'm glad you are focusing on your mental health & whatnot! It is very important to keep our mental health in check & writing down how you feeling does help! If you need anything, I'm always here to talk if you need somebody to talk to! I'll continue to support you as best as I can & be with you every step of the way! You are truly an amazing & awesome person! Looking forward to your next video! Take care! XOXO 😊❤

  • @nicolesullivan1643
    @nicolesullivan1643 11 месяцев назад +3

Halie, there is definitely a stigma around medication for mental health. I went a long time without it, and it just got to the point where my quality of life was just no longer there. My doctor could see it, and it was SO so scary. Medication has helped me feel like a normal person. It’s not like “happy pills”. When you find the right kind, dosage, and sometimes combination, it can really balance out the chemistry in your brain. Don’t let the perception of others determine how you care for yourself. Do what is best for YOU! It’s also ok to take down time. You are not alone and I am so proud of you for getting the help you need to get you through. You are NOT weak! You are actually so brave for realizing you’re not ok and making a change and getting help for the better. You got this girl. 🩵

Perhaps the puppy is part of the new project...? You said it could help a lot of people- maybe a therapy dog?! Oh I hope I'm right! Regardless, so proud of your progress. I know personally the weight mental health can have on people, not to mention the stigma. I know that "extremely difficult" doesn't even begin to cover it sometimes. I've been doing better the last few months and it feels so good. I did lose my sweet little dog on Thanksgiving and it's been hard. I miss him more than words could describe, but I'm so grateful I got 15 years with him and that he's not in pain anymore ❤ I'm so glad that you gave medication a try and that it has helped you! I love the pumpkin and the meaning of it 😊

Hi my name is Ellen, I'm so glad you made the decision to get medicine to help you. I have taken medicine for many years for my depression and anxiety. As far as medicine, you wouldn't judge someone for taking medicine for a heart condition or diabetes, yet taking mental health meds is somehow a taboo. People take diabetes or heart medicine to be able to maintain a normal life, without the meds they would take the risk of dying. Mental health meds are exactly the same, they are used to maintain a healthier life. Just food for thought!! Keep taking care of yourself!

You certainly are not the only one suffering with mental health. I understand 1 in 5 people do in one form or another, including myself. When my mum passed away in 2021, my mh was really bad and on top of being housebound with my disabilities, covid restrictions, and losing my job. But it's about building your resilience to life events, uncontrollable events, death, etc. I seem to be coming out the other side but still suffer from depression controlled with medication. However, last week I took a 2 day online course and am now qualified as a Mental Health First Aider so I hopefully help others.😊

Clever to use saran wrap on your plate to use as a palette for your paint. 😊 Thanks for explaining the semi colon. Pretty cool symbolism.
Also, nice way to get the feelings out!

I’ve been on Mental Health meds since my twenties. I’m in my sixties. I love that you feel comfortable talking about it! Medication gave me my life back, and there is no shame and shouldn’t be any stigma. Our brains are just another organ, that if it needs a Dr., or medication,
We owe it to ourselves to get the help we need, so proud of you! Love you! 😘❤️

Halie I watched you grow over the years on your family's channel and seeing you take on your struggles in life reminded myself when I was that age going through similar struggles and you have grown into such an amazing woman. I will be turning 37 this year and I wish I had your amazing strength you show. I know you don't know me from Adam but I see you. And I hope you don't see what I ment as creepy I mean it as in even if you may not see the strength in yourself at the moment I see it in you.

Halie - you could be a doppelganger for Emma Stone ( You look just like her with your hair dark ) Very pretty *Advice from someone who married young - enjoy being young. Find your happiness - Travel, do hobbies, go to concerts, Netflix, and chill. Then you will meet someone to share life with. You are absolutely beautiful and have a wonderful loving BIG family & extended family - What a blessing!

I have crippling anxiety- iykyk- and I am super scared of taking a medication every day. What happens then? Do you have to take them forever? Were you worried about that? I'm glad you are feeling better. I'm sorry about the break-up, it always sucks. Especially if you have to keep seeing them, no hate to Brycen but that can be rough. Much love from Wilsonville Oregon ❤

I deal with depression and anxiety PTSD and social anxiety. I got on medication 22 years ago for it. I have lost my mom and dad and four siblings. The the day I lost my 25 year old daughter and grandson not yet born . My daughter passed away of Cardiomyopathy. She passed away in My home. God has carried me through this. I am still on my medication and feel a lot better now after 10 years of her being gone. Life is so important so we can’t just throw it away. You will do great❤️🙏

Halie, I just want to say that nothing is wrong with seeking help for mental health. I, myself, have had a hard time dealing with depression n anxiety. One day, I spoke with my doctor n told her that I need to see a psychiatrist. Now, there were some people talking their smacks about me seeing a psychiatrist. However, other people’s opinions about me going to see a psychiatrist meant nothing to me ( especially if they were being negative about it ). I have gotten help to better myself in coping with mental health. Another thing, people can talk their crap…but as for me, I did it to better myself. No one knows how it feels to have depression, anxiety or any other mental health issues unless they have been through it themselves.
I admire u for the help that u are seeking n don’t u let people who may be negative towards u get the best of u. Instead, if they’re friends, let go of them.
If they are family members, explain to them that they aren’t the ones that has to deal with the situation n for them to either support u or excuse themselves out of ur life until they can accept ur choice of seeking help. Stay strong n positive n do for u because no one lives ur life except for u!
    Blessings to all…
    Aloha from Hawaii 💜🌈💙

I feel blessed and honored to be one of your viewers. I truly believe that one can learn from everyone no matter what their age is.
I am 60 years old, and I still have difficulty opening up when I was in therapy and I know I should return to therapy and I even went in for an intake, and as the intake was ending, the psychologist told me that he did not think that I really needed therapy. So I gave up...
Your candor and honesty in how u express your feelings on difficult experiences in your Life updates are an encouragement for others to be able to hopefully go forward if we/they/us/me conside a therapy situation.
I have no issues if I am advised and prescribed meds for anxiety or depression know that many people feel a stigma for any aspect of mental health. Your openness has the possibility to help so many of the viewers of whom might be closer to your age.
Thank u for bravery and courage!
In any relationship, there can be a breakdown, yet u seem to be finding a way to move on and deal w your situation.
Using your creative talents as an outlet in a cathartic project to deal w your strong emotions is truly so awesome! [Back when I was young, I was taught to write my feelings down on paper and then wait a day or a week, read what I wrote and then as a way to release the anger, to rip up the paper or burn it as a symbol of sarong goodbye to those negative thoughts.
U gve us a lot to think about and learn from u.
Mental health is a topic in the news lately, and it should have been in the news eons ago so that there would never have been any type of a stigma attached to any person,no matter their age.
Blessings, love and prayers for all, from Israel 🇮🇱.
Peace for all on this Earth and in this World.

It takes alot to realise that something is wrong and you need to get help. My realization came in January 2023. Driving home I wanted to drive my car down a bridge... Atleast I know my family loves me and will miss me, so I went to a doctor and psychiatrist. Went on antidepressants. And I feel much better. I feel more myself.

You are so brave to get the help you need. I struggled for years and would go on & off meds for depression & anxiety. I was shamed & intimidated by others to go off meds. Finally, a good friend talked me into going to my Doc & talking to her about it. She prescribed something for anxiety & depression & I haven’t looked back. Everything changed for me & I’ve been able to reach goals, set new goals and enjoy living. God has played a major part of my mindset & I’ve continued to trust Him more, plus have a more meaningful spiritual life. I love my family more & friends more. So, keep it up. Take care of yourself & be happy! Enjoyed this video!

Halie, I think this video was the best video I watched of yours! Mental Health is important & recognising when you need help. You are a wonderful young woman. You have come a long ways! It was cool that you painted the semi colon on the pumkin. Such a powerful symbol of mental health.
For work though, have you thought of training for a career in something that you like? Something to think about.
    Love you❤
