My advice is: Become a picker. Where do we find old antiquarian books? Garage sales, if I spot an old house during my travels I knock at their door and as if they have old books that they're willing to sell, in old churches, old school and university libraries, barns too!

I have found estate sales a good resource. There are also many book collectors who downsize in older years. I have found many good books at home sales. There are probably hundreds of book collections we have no clue of that are in your home city.

hi im looking for a book. i only remember a tiny part of it. if memory serves me, it is a very old book which i read for awhile before my nook was lost. it describes a great story about sailors. when encountering storms, many ship lost direction and people died of starvation. however, later people got a trick to overcome this. they bring a knife and a bull or sheep hide on board. once storm strikes, the sailors, knife in hand, would get into the hide, which then is seamed tightly, before jumping into sea. and soon they will be spotted by a sea hawk, which, mistaking them to be prey, will sweep down, grasp them and fly to safety....then the sailor will kill the sea hawk with the knife and walk to civilization. please, can you help me find this book?
Great advice, even for me here in South Africa. Shipping between SA and the USA is rather expensive. Loved EVIL BOOKS of all time . By the way, you are damn hot.Had to through it in there.
