Documentary style is very unique, to show the anxiety, and lostness of the new developers.
What is surprising though, is how many intelligent people get into the "deep"end of technology with very less base to start with... Its like go figure it out... it is just bits and bytes... I feel the prime movers are the teachers, and the platform...

Great documentary. Great protagonists. But I really have doubts about this concept of learning. The brain needs pauses to learn. It's just too much input over a short period of time...

it works, I am almost done with my bootcamp and it has been a rollercoaster but I am definitely learning a shit ton of stuff, something that would have taken me a year or two to learn. no idea how it works, but it works. your brain starts putting everything together towards the end and you get tons of Eureka moments.

im 5months in self-taught, just finished learning basic JS framework react... my pace isnt impressive (~3hrs every day), it is still difficult and frustrating for me, i can't imagine learning with additional pressure or more expectations, yet i'm so interested by a 2.5 month bootcamp program that can get you from 0 to hirable, as i used to teach swimming and art, i cannot discount that there's something special going on with this program to produce that much growth even in a small group of its cohorts.

I heard about programming back in 2008 for the first time, since then i been wanting to learn it but never succeeded ...it was something that was stuck ..a very frustrating experience indeed

Maybe you should look into online classes or even a bootcamp? Personally I learn the best if I have a bit of structure and pressure to finish tasks at least.. P.S. nice username 😉
