I think if someone decides to use a mesh sticker, they shud just use it to cover the speakers and the vent where the air is entering in, but I feel instead of putting the mesh sticker on the phone, just put it on the case itself where the opening for vent is, so u can easy just take case off and clean the mesh on case and plus use a enclosed zip pouch to keep phone in wen in pockets to protect from scratches and dirt
Personally I think the best solution is to apply the dustproofing to the case vent port. Just get a dust filter and cut out the proportions you need then hot glue it to the case you want to add very little ammoutnts of glue. I think by Q tip would be the best way
Still think this is only a temporary solution, microscopic dust will still get through, which'll then stick to the backside of the exit port sticker. The exit port will very quickly become blocked. For me, I simply use computer duster, just ensure you're fan is either off or your phone is locked when you do it. Neither of our solutions are perfect, so any suggestions are welcome
The keyboard dusters should be fine, but if you are concerned they recommended using something like a toothbrush to clean out dust if you feel more comfortable doing that.
I wish there's a case that covers the vent and just open it when you're going to play or just a magnet or sticker slider that covers the vent😢 If there is please tell what it's called and where to buy it please 🥺
También hace falta que haga pruebas jugando por 1 hora un juego exigente, donde se use las pegatinas y sin pegatinas para ver si mantiene la misma temperatura.
It doesn't man with the little vent stickers it gets way hotter even with a small amount of gameplay. It's kind of the price to pay for dust proofing. I can do a video on it if you want though man.
Hello! Just got a 8S Pro, somehow my carrier became one of the first in the world to officially sell RM. How are those stickers holding up? Have you noticed any meaningful difference in performance or temps? Moreover, do you have a tempered glass brand recommendation? I've heard very bad stuff from the official one. TIA!
@@TechReviewTom Yeah if temperatures are way worse then there no way in hell I'm going for this. Will just need it to treat it like a baby then, thanks!
@leazhito2826 I heard someone recommend to throw them on a case put the case on when needed, i don't have these but if I had thought of that at the time I would habe done that lol
mine just arrived today, thanks for the vid man. Any suggestions on cases? I'd like to use it as a daily, so something that can do well with potential drops.
Hmm, I have suggested a case idea to a company I am in collaboration with. My next video will showcase their fold 5 case in an ad. If there is a case from them I asked specifically if they could do one with dust covers built in.
yeah definitely this is more of a temporary solution for covering them if youre working a job with lots of dust or whatever, i dont use em at all tho. Thx tho man
It's hotter, which unfortunately is the trade off to have dust proofing. I don't need to use them personally as I don't really care about dust proofing, but some people really do. These could be stick on covers for people during the day when they are working or whatever and you cam take em off until the next time.
i already tried this kind of solution sir but still there are dust on the air vents.... any idea how to clean the dust thats already inside the air vents sir? i hope you notice this.... thank you so much
Dang bro, still nothing? Id unscrew the back piece and clean it by hand then. I'm not sure how to break the phone down. But that's a huge bummer nothing changed!
@@TechReviewTom nope sir cant protect from the dust and now my problem is how to get rid of the dust that accumulated inside the air vents, built-in fan and on the back glass 😞 im looking everywhere and unfortunately, i didnt see any videos or tutorials of how to clean the dust that enters the air vents of Redmagic 8 or 8S Pro 😞
Edit: i couldn't find the username of whoever suggested it but to whoever did thanks. Also, Your phone will be hotter when playing games, but the trade off is there will be no dust. The decision as to whats more important is up to you. Subscriber tip: covering the inflow side and mot tne outflow side will help with the heat.
Tell me the dimensions are the same as rm9 pro?.i ordered dust protectors for my sides of fan also.Dimensions 2.2 cm,0.5mm large.I mean 1 should be enough to cover, why u used 2 lol?
No this is just for people who are worried about dust, it gets hotter but keeps dust out, but I don't even use them man I took them off bc I don't care if there's dust or not I just want the phone to feel cold lol.
@@TechReviewTom Like any other pc fan, with time it stop working lol, asi que nimodos a disfrutar hasta que se descomponga el ventilador y comprar un ventilador de remplazo and change it

Yeah that's a great idea man
I see they also sell the metal mesh design, exclusive for the red magic pro on a site
Another awesome in-depth video man!! ❤
It is better to attach the filter only from the air inlet side, so that it gets less hot
Good idea man 👍
I feel that is better

Lmao link me them I'll put it in the description
Bro I guarantee you that there are no vent stickers that look good lmao. Also I think these are better than the other bc you said you had to modify it
Aire comprimido o spray dielectrico
With the compressed air you risk to damage the the fan inside.. the pressure is way too much for such a delicate thing.. be careful with that..
@Stoyan.Svilenov what do you recommend as an alternative?

That's what I mean, the air can thing. I I heard using a hair dryer works. But honestly man I don't think there is a perfect solution lol.
Is there is a way to remove the dust that already inside the phone?
Compressed air can
@@TechReviewTom have you tried using one on rm8 pro? i mean the compressed air can
Not yet, but it can clean trapped dust in keyboard so it should be capable of doing the same in a small vent
@@TechReviewTom won't it be stronger than the fan and the fan might crack due to the stronge air

I just is keep mines in a zip pouch, especially wen i tend to keep it in my pocket

I'm waiting for redmagic 9 pro...wish for better camera ...)
Yeah I hope so too, they should do a front popup like they did on the one plus 7 pro
@@TechReviewTom hope so but I'll cost too high,I think they should upgrade camera lens or get a Sony camera in it.
Yeah I agree the camera is how they save money I say keep it as is and bump up the specs.
It seems like it’s going to clogged a bit the airflow coming out. Let me know if you see any difference playing games.

Try applying the mesh sticker on case itself instead of phone
@@deanneclydenoarbe1562 use small air gun and blow from air intakes

i have this phone, love it but i hate the UI and dust problem
Dude it's literally a lightly skinned android phone how can you hate a literal copy paste of every android lol. Also the dust isn't that bad.
Is it really necessary to use that? What are the consequences?
No this is just for people who are worried about dust, it gets hotter but keeps dust out, but I don't even use them man I took them off bc I don't care if there's dust or not I just want the phone to feel cold lol.
The dust just gets in the vent it's not actually in the phone and has not impact on the actual performance it's purely aesthetic.
@@TechReviewTom doesn't the dust destroy the fan?
The fan will erode regardless based on usage. Dust will happen as well. It's unfortunately unavoidable. Its the downside to having a fan in the phone.
@@TechReviewTom Like any other pc fan, with time it stop working lol, asi que nimodos a disfrutar hasta que se descomponga el ventilador y comprar un ventilador de remplazo and change it
Is it okay to use it in the long run? Will it affect the phone airflow on the fan?
I mean parts wear down but there wouldn't be any reason to not use the fan
Wouldn't it heat up faster?
Yeah I mentioned that in the video, it's a sacrifice you have to make if you want to prevent dust. I don't use them though
@@TechReviewTom I would just use dust spray to clean it out
