- In this final installment of the Princess Trixie Sparkle series (before Princess Trixie Sparkle 2), every pony is pushed to their limit and each of them has to make an important choice: where do their loyalties lie? Trixie especially is caught in the crossfire between who she wants to be, and who she should be. In the end, she is the one who decides who wins and who loses. In the process, she learns a very important lesson about true magic and the virtue that should guide all our friendships and our lives.

I know right?! I thought that whilst Astell was obliviating him, Luna and Celestia would have gotten to the Tree of Harmony and ended up caught too. And when Astell was almost finished with destroying him, Shadow would have said "L- Luna! I- I love-" but before he could finish his thought, he already got obliviated. So Luna closes her eyes and says under her breath "I love you too, Shadow."
Then, after Astell had been defeated, Celestia would notice that her sister wasn't behaving like herself so she asks "Luna? What's wrong?" "Oh, uh. N- nothing. Nothing is wrong Tia." And Celestia would guess what was bothering her "Oh sister. I am so sorry, I should have known that you have just lost your bestest friend from your childhood." But Luna would try to deny it. *"No. I-its f- fine sister. (Starts crying)" and so, Celestia thinks of a way to cheer her up and says "(Gasp) I think I know how to cheer you up." So Celestia uses her magic to *bring Shadow back as a solid pony!* And Luna would run up to him, hug him, and tell Shadow that she loves him! And Shadow would apologize to Celestia, Trixie and the Mane 6 and he and Luna would live happily ever after. That would have made a better ending. 😢💔

PLEASE MAGPIE I BEG YOU TO MAKE AN EXTRA OR SOMETHING WHERE LUNA BRINGS SHADOW BACK IM CRYING SO HARD!!! It hurts even more knowing what a tormented life he lived without those dearest to him and that Shadow and Luna were never able to resolve things after having such a close bond. They've known each since they were so little and hurt to see Luna showing no sadness or remorse.

The only people who could dislike something like this are people that can't appreciate such incredible narrative, music and style of animation.
Watching this, and other things that Magpie and others have created, shows that the fanbase of MLP can actually write better and create sensical narratives and characters than anything Hasbro could create. And I doubt two things about the MLP fandom: 1. they do it for money and 2. they have a degree in story-writing.
As honest as Applejack, an incredible series Magpie, don't ever think you wasted time.
Wow. That ending with Shadow was a bittersweet sting on the tongue. He was literally the best thing in this whole series... But there's still a chance, right?

Starsworld could’ve handled things better but yah her heartbroken delusion while was annoying though characters often talk and act off often otherwise wouldn’t have story+ the next season things seem to get better for her
This is the only franchise I know that carries a dedicated fandom that manages to capture both the flaws and the highs of the source material. Call me impressed.

This is such a bittersweet moment, completing a project that you've have worked on since the very beginning of your channel. Well, that was quite the ending, I've returned to this series after a long while, because I forgot about it while waiting for the tenth episode, then I see Magpie pop up in my recommended and immediately try to see if the series has been finished. This series was beautiful, and although I feel bad for Shadow, this was a wonderful ending.

Wow.
I’ve been a part of the fandom for years, but more a silent part, as I can’t seem to get my footing here. I honestly never knew this story existed. But I stumbled upon episode 1 when it autoplayed after a speedpaint, and I’ve been here literally all day, watching every episode.
I can say with certainty that this is one of the most complex creations I’ve seen. Most people do all the animating themselves. Some people stop the series halfway through when they believe it to be too much. But not only did you not quit, you made it somewhat of a stunning MAP style experience. Where you brought artists and actors together in a way where each of them could place their unique spin on things, and let their own styles and voices shine. This is the only project this long running that I have seen do something like this, and it paid off. Some of the songs and scenes made my eyes water. The art was always interesting and fitting. I truly wish that the show hadn’t debunked this story, because I could see something like this being canonical and believable.
This is excellent work, and I’m happy I finally came across it.
Whoever is cutting those onions-- is making my eyes very watering with tears ;--; Anybody got a tissue?
Side Note: To see a project, that you worked so hard on and to have it finally completed. Sure, it's sad to let it go. But, giving a smile knowing that it had grown so much and you were able to share your work with us. Finishing off with a fantastic ending and a memorable new beginning of something new. After thoughts:
You know, I believe I would have loved it if the show had done this way back when. The story is nicely wrapped up with no real loose ends, but I would love to experience the day to day life of this Mane 7 post Element of Forgiveness. Forgiveness is a point they have tried to deal with in FiM but it has never really had moments where one of the parties doesn’t want to forgive the pony in question.
I had so much fun working on this...I am going to miss it for sure...Love you all!

Sorry I didn't commwt this when this first came out,but when you look at the source of the conflict mainly with what happened to Astelle everything came from a lack of communication. If Starswirl had been more honest maybe their relationship would have been better or not tell the person your giving immortality to how much it sucks and believe they have enough heart to free you knowing they'll be alone. Also Starswirls lack of looking for her making her emotions turn to anger. That isn't to say Astelle isn't to blame because she ran off from her responsibilities also when she does return her story is fabricated to hide why she left and who she even was. Now what happened to Starswirl was cruel,but maybe the punishment would have been delayed if Celestia hasn't shown up triggering Astelle more. If both sides were not emotional fueled than maybe they could have discussed it more since Astelle seemed more concerned for Celestia having been turned into an alicorn. Now after the incident Astelle tries to explain herself because deep down she still loves her family and wants to keep them safe from what happened to her,but Celestia only sees her sister as this monster and imediently imprisons her as they each lose the others trust. Now going timeline wise the issue with Luna & Shadow who form a nice sibling bond better than with her own sister,but of course she still turns into Nightmare Moon and here's where the problem comes in. Shadow clearly has PTSD from seeing Celestia banish Astelle so when the same happens to Luna he's heartbroken and justifyingly angry. To the point that at that moment he felt ashamed and felt he had lost his friend in all regards. But how Luna saw it, it seems that Shadow just abandoned her in her time of need and didn't care enough to come back for her, but what was he suppose to do? By the time he saw the battle it was too late. So when Shadow does get the oppertunity to work with his creator he takes it because he feels that isolated and still holds care for Luna because he still cares for her. Which is similar to how Astelle except her actions make it seem less genuine. So now that we've covered the roots now let's go to the great and powerful trixie who holds on to the past and doesn't want to move forward until she gets her revenge,but as time progresses she starts opening up more on her issues in which Twilight does not believe for a second. Which is justified when comparing what Trixie did to her and how because it she created a stupid set up which further screwed them and made Trixie lose more trust in her. By this time it's made apparent that even with everyone's actions they have good intent just utilized poorly, making actions worse so in the final episode each faith is decided by their choices. First Shadow who has stayed loyal to Astelle and just discarded by her and Luna making him more emotionally driven that he is seen to not be loved by anyone when Astelle kills him with no remorse. He had the chance of redemption, but let the past define him and not act on his own decisions always following someone so he got the ax even though in the context of the story it seems that no one mourned him which sucks. Now Astelle who has been filled with nothing, but rage for thousands of years and planning her revenge which almost succeeds if not for Trixie which allows for her to finally receive the thing she yearned for achieving peace. Now her faith is left ambiguous from her leaving, but it be inferred that she may be able to move on in time, but who's to say. Now the great & powerful Trixie who started the whole conflict who slowly realizes the magic of friendship and it's importance can't save the day alone and if not for Twilight she would have remained in that reality forever. But with help from her friends she realizes the important magic that each other character lacked even the royal sisters. The power to Forgive and makes things right is the key to Trixies freedom from her past ideals and gives her the happiness she's always wanted finally being her time. Sorry this post was so long I just hope that this gave a new perspective on what happened and the themes present before it got spelled out in the song. Have a nice day/night! 👋

I was hoping that Shadow would come back but you can’t have everything. This deserves so much credit. The writing was absolutely incredible in every episode. Though I’m sad to see it end, it ended exactly right.
This is beautiful. The message of the whole series is forgiveness. We hold a grudge against those because we don't forgive. This is the most beautiful part I have ever seen. That next to last song almost brought me to tears. It's kinda funny because, in my personal fanfic that I have, one of my characters is the element of forgiveness.

Ive been a part of the team for two episodes but I've been through the journey since episode 1. It was such an honor being a part of this and I'm also thankful for having this project existing. I remember suffering the darkest day in recent memory when my closest cousin passed away. I couldn't listen in class or contain myself, taking multiple breaks and stressing over being in the middle of a film production but pts 9 was uploaded that day. I watched it, i smiled, and then I remembered that stories still matter to be told. With that, I wrote a script in 3 days and finished it with confidence. And that became my short film, Mute. Thank you Magpie. You set myself on a new journey not only in the fandom, but in my life as a storyteller. Good luck and congratulations :3

I still adore this drama. It made me myself laugh and have some tears as well as inspiration. This summer I plan to do art pieces based off of the songs, which will take a lot of time. This is the best series I have ever seen, I cry every time. I can never resist crying when Trixie sings that final song. It really just grabs the perfect moment to inflict sadness and joy into your heart. (but I guess that is just me)

Trixie is right. Pinkie Pie is canonically the most powerful being in Equestria.
This was great! I couldn't have asked for a better conclusion. Very well done story and animations I loved that all the villains had motivations, and all the characters had a back story. Everything made sense, and in a lot of ways, I sympathies with all of the characters.
20/10 Also, was Trixie the main character, or the six..........

I kind of feel bad for both Astelle and Shadow. I think if Starswirl would have been clear with Astelle from the beginning she might not have turned evil. As for Shadow, I know he made a lot of mistakes, but could you imagine having to live most of your life in fear. Hiding from everybody/everypony because you're afraid they won't accept you for who you are or what you are. And let's not forget, like he said: the only two ponies who ever did care for him (or at least he thought cared for him (I am referring to Astelle)), was taken away from him, and he had to spend over a thousand years all alone and sad. No wonder he grew bitter.

I am sad for Shadow and Luna. They knew each other almost whole life. They've become a good friends, fell in love. And then they lost each other. That really hurt me because of my own experience. 😔
But Luna kind of never care never since he betrayed her cuz Yk who and never came back to her when she came back when she was in da moon for over 1 thousand year so yea but it wasn’t really shadows fault

I was hoping Luna could save shadow using her own magic to replace Astelle's but hey, now the journey actually had some loss and weight.
Either way amazing story with great songs and acting, keep up the great work.
Shadow was actually my favorite of the group so I was sad to see him go but I agree it furthered the story and added a lot
Ellaborating on my previous statement. The reason I wanted Luna to save Shadow was because it would create a climactic payoff for their relationship, show Luna is able to forgive, and still love Shadow (because love never dies, or whatever), and allow Celestia and Shadow to stop hating each other.
Initially I thought the ending chosen didn't give a satisfying payoff for Luna and Shadow, now however I realise that because we saw the bond between them, it makes Shadow choosing Astelle over Luna have that much more depth, and Astelle's betrayal hit that much harder.
Brilliant work making the villains just as interesting and sympathisable as the heroes, it's not easy. Well done Magpiepony.
And now I'm no longer confused about that song I stumbled into a few weeks ago where I was like 'wtf why is trixie singing about forgiving twilight?!!' It all makes sense now and only took five and half hours. Best way I've spent that much time in quite awhile, I keep finding myself at videos of yours Magpie and this series clinches it; you officially have a new fan today. I hope keep it up even after... Well I think anyone who enjoys mlp knows what I'm referring to here haha.

Sweet Celestia this was absolutely amazing. I couldn't stop myself from watching all 11 episodes back-to-back bc I was enjoying this so much. If anypony hasn't seen this yet then what is keeping you from it!?!? If you even have a passing interest in MLP:FiM then you MUST see Princess Trixie Sparkle. Sooner rather than later.
