One thing about the Original Heidelberg letterpress that is rather exceptional is that it was made continuously from 1927 to 1985 with virtually no changes in appearance or function.
Yes, that boutique was real nice, good vibes in it! Apart from that i really liked the attention to detail for everything, impressive (and love the food too 😉).
I think the Lang and Heyne watch from Dresden looks better and their movement definitely looks better than the rectangular representation by Moritz and G
I can only recommend to visit their manufacture to understand the pricing better. There is a lot of work done which you cannot realize from looking at a watch.
@@nandyvara Their finishing is better than Lange and they produce a fraction of the watches. If you can afford a $15k Lange, you can afford a $25k Grossmann.
That Japanese dude is biased as he is selling German watches. How could he say German watches have a higher quality compared to Swiss ones??? Granted there are high end ones like A. Lange, but in general the Swiss have mastered this into an art and it’s almost as if it’s in their blood and who they are.
What determines quality in your eyes? There are plenty of watchmakers out there who create the absolute highest quality, and many of them are not Swiss. It has nothing to do with Swiss, it has something to do with the watchmaker.
MG, Lange, and even Glashutte Original show better craftsmanship than all Swiss even the “holy trinity”. The Japanese also can give the pretentious Swiss a run for the money.
German watchmakers destroy the Swiss beyond the entry level. Nomos offers the highest level finishing in their price range by far. Dornbluth, Benzinger, Kudoke, and Glasshute Original offer the best finishing in the mid-range. The Swiss only start to compete in the high end, but even then I would take Lange, Grossmann, and Lang and Heyne over the best of the Swiss.
Beautiful boutique and awesome insight into Japanese customers and collectors (from Grossmann's perspective)!
Awesome content as always 😊⌚
Thank you - excellent episode!
The boutique, quite interesting, mechanical, historical setting, beyond just a brand; the episode had a great ending, too!

A magnificent piece of machinery!! Gorgeous looking
And the boutique is amazing! What was the most fascinating thing in Japan for you ?

Looks like a fine piece indeed. I just can’t get passed their logo.
Those watches are GORGEOUS!
The black dial is a winner.

Totally agree with you
This brand is a new revival of a great watch maker but the prices are too high for such new brand however it's a great watch making
We hear this often unfortunately for them
I agree. They are not Lange but their workmanship is great

ÓTIMO RELÓGIO, BRASIL OK.
Beautiful.. I just wish it wasn't so overpriced...
Hahaahahahah the ending was great
すごいね。。。
Never heard of them. Looks like a watch from the shopping channel. Logo font and name look amateurish.
The logo is derived from the shape of their main bridge. It is based on the old design when Moritz Grossmann created his pocketwatches.

Watches and Art that’s why I said ‘in general’.
