The funeral business is a billion dollar business for a reason. There is no law stating you have to embalm (unless you want several days for viewing then you have no choice), or have your funeral services in the funeral homes. You can have the service at home. Everything is just so expensive now it's crazy. Bless this man for taking care of his wife himself.
It is kind of sad, but you know that lady isn't in the body anymore. At this point it's only transporting an empty vessel. I do totally understand what you mean about it being sad though.
This is like if Walmart ran mortuaries. Cheap and tacky. Disrespectful! Makes me sick 🤢🤮 That is someone's loved one being moved like a piece of furniture.
This is so disgusting and unprofessional. When my mom died she was flown back to Ohio. I am grateful to Innman Worldwide for insisting strict procedures when transporting human remains. The funeral home sending the remains loaded her directly on the plane with the help of baggage handlers. And upon arrival the receiving funeral home loaded the hearse directly from the plane. My mother was never treated like cargo.
Yep my first nursing job was at a small critical access facility in a really old hospital. We literally had to put someone and the body on the freight elevator and then jump on the other elevator (the regular elevator didnt go down to to morgue which meant some of us also had to take some stairs the rest of the way) and be there to meet them and let them out. The halls were far narrower than this and once we got to the morgue. We had to slide the gurney that went into the cooler out into the hall which was hardly wide enough and then move the body over and then slide the person into the morgue and then into the cooler. This was my first experience of transporting a body. Since then I've help transport many to the morgue at the various facilities I've worked at during my career and some have better equipment than others in terms of carts and draping and also some have better locations for for morgue as well. Also, I have assisted various morticians move bodies when they have came to pick up. It's been my experience many have their own gurney complete with fancy pillow and coverings when they come to pick up and in many cases it's not like this. It's always very respectful but yes we do talk and shoot the breeze and at times laugh about whatever we are talking about. It's not done in a disrespectful way it's just life and in some cases a coping mechanism especially when it's a pediatric patient. Some people may judge us but unless you've done it OR transported a patient to the morgue only to open the cooler and realize a baby is on the next draped gurney one has no true right to do that. But still, many will try to arm chair quarterback. Meanwhile, what I find the most disturbing about this is you have someone videoing and posting their grandpa as he picks up the love of his life. One could argue that's a private moment in one's life and not meant for public consumption. Meanwhile, I guess nothing is truly sacred anymore to people.
Embalming a dead body is NOT pretty! In my opinion, it's "abuse of a corpse & ur loved one", BUT it's necessary IF u want an open casket service. 😢 I will be cremated, thank you! 😊
Your thinking exactly like me it is NOT pretty at all is very disgusting and very unnecessary the chemicals change the way the person looks and they mimic wax doll that is very stiff. Not natural at all. Just bath them put clothes on them and a slight bit of make up to give the color back and put them in the casket. No mutalating treatment of pumping them full of chemicals that are toxic. This process is very rare in other parts of the world. It was a civil war thing designed by some mad scientist. But people spend billions on this every year and this is the reason this nasty process still survives to this day.

With the first comment
I've seen pallets of sod moved at home Depot with more respect
If this had happened to my grandma, she would have loved it. SHe'd have thought it was the funniest thing ever. She was so much fun
Our family has shucked and jived about death & OUR funerals for years
M.A.G.A
Rather undignified in my opinion...Its someones grandma not something from Wallmart.....
God, that feels like there just pulling a cart of deliveries. Could they at least covered it with a blanket just to show some kind of respect.

Sorry for your loss
Grandma taken a cruise down the hallways 😳

This reminded me of shipping and receiving at Costco. Whatever they were doing was not much different👐
That's looks so much like the underground of the old hospital I worked in, it's not there now they built a new hospital just behind it.

This world is so ****** up.
One way to save a dollar, just the two vids?
I thought it was a couch.
This video is depressing as fuck . I think I need a fucking drink after this
sad in so many ways
So the grandmother is in that wooden box??
Why are they pulling the casket like that
It's very officiant to pull it since it's saves time, and man power to move the casket or whatever to one point to another
That's what I thought like furniture, put the box a a cart n have her family by her side. Taking the cart out
What’s all the laughing for
Cremate me and carry my box in your hands.
IF YOU ALL DONT USE THAT WOODEN BOX CAN I HAVE IT ? IT WOULD MAKE A COOL COFFEE TABLE
Rude
Eww. 😳
Hahahaha it got burried with the body
