- Indiana State Police has named Richard Matthew Allen as the primary suspect in the 2017 killings of Abby Williams and Libby German.

I’m in Canada and I’ve followed this case since day one, I don’t need to know the details, I’m just so happy they’ve finally arrested the evil devil, whose taken those babies from the world! Thank you ISP for your integrity and commitment to this case. You have always been as transparent as you could be and dedicated to catching the horrible person or people responsible for this disgusting crime. Now we all need to be patient while the wheels of justice grind slowly to hopefully the correct verdict. These people never gave up, they never forgot and they never stopped looking.

The Indiana Police and all the law enforcement bodies that have been involved in this arrest are to be congratulated. Their speakers were all totally professional and their dedication to duty is to be commended. May Liberty and Abigail rest in peace. Congratulated for doing there job they get a tax payers check a check they got when the killer walk around free and a threat to the rest of us . More like justice was served no need for the pat on the back.

At this point it feels like Superintendent DC spent too much time coming up with heroic sound bites for his interviews. I know everyone loves him and I’ll get mad hate for that but cmon people
@@GLEN515 have you, yourself, been directly involved in investigation of a murder, and obtaining sufficient, irrefutable evidence to insure a successful trial and guilty verdict of the offender? If not, you have no right to judge.

Idk what doug carter seen that day but this case has obviously affected him in a terrible way... he cries every time he speaks of these girls....

First, my condolences to the families and prayer's to the two little girl's.
If convicted, this no good stack of ---- will pay dearly in prison. Every single day, will be total hell for him. Most, prisoner's, lifer's, hate with a passion somebody that has hurt little children. So, if, when, he is convicted and sent to prison, I don't think, hopefully, he will make it long before somebody run's a shank into his back, and into his kidney. Then, he can go straight to hell.

While it is a massive step towards justice, when I watch everyone speak I see their realisation with my own realisation the profound sadness that this moment has come because two young girls had their lives brutally ended and with that action the scar is on all human’s
There is a good video from Crime Sean to Courtroom that really puts some of the pieces together in a way the media will not or cannot.After this today it seems very plausible that is what happened and at least 2 more will be charged.

Job well done. Law enforcement never gave up, and now that they have arrested the man responsible for taking Abby and Libbey, I hope they can R.I.P. I hope the families are able to find peace.
You can see the emotion and pure exhaustion on every face of those who worked on this case. I also respect tjat, although everyone is praising these investigators, etc, (and rightly so) but i respect that the agencies arent treating the announcement as some self-congratulating-padding themselves on the back-etc. They clearly never lost sight of what this case was really about.
Many prayers have gone up for the capture
of the responsible murderer of these innocent girls.
This team never forgot and never gave up on those girls. Its got to be hard working of only a pixilated picture to find the killer and I hope he rots in the worst prison the united states has to offer.

Why have a press conference when they said absolutely nothing?
Because the families of these girls would have been told an arrest had been made, and going on the assumption that Libby or Abby's immediate family may have shared that confidential info with other family/friends that someone would post something about the arrest, and the Delphi PD got ahead of it by making a press release..
EXACTLY. If he's presumed innocent, and didnt confess, this is no slam dunk.

Apparently they think they have him..Otherwise they wouldnt all be up there for this big show. Which is great. You can rule out confession because he pleaded Not guilty. So it must be DNA..but that took a looong time for a match..If not that, what? Guess we are all waiting for the trial.
In Indiana, all major felonies are plead not guilty at the initial hearing (the first hearing after arrest where bail is set after the probable cause is reviewed). So, it could be a whole bunch of things. And a confession cannot be ruled out.

Wow ISP did something right. They put false information on my criminal history (the only thing on my criminal history) that stated I was convicted of a felony (it was a class c misdemeanor). I sent certified copies of the court order multiple times. Ultimately, I had to consult a lawyer. After all of this it was corrected. This occurred in 1989 and was finally corrected in July of this year. So thirty three years for them to get off their dead ass and do their job. I was denied at least one job and turned down when attempting to purchase a firearm.
No reason for this media conference other than a victory lap for the police. Don't waste anymore of our time until you can reveal why this is the guy!!
They deserve a victory lap. Too bad they didn't get you involved so it could have been solved sooner.

appreciate all the hard, but i am not convinced they got the right guy. video tape and audio and clothing and nobody came forward sooner makes no sense. the guy worked next police station and lived walking distance from park. small town and this guy worked in the public retail. the clothing worn in the video was very readable. the guy on bridge should have history of violence. The press conference was not a press conference, it was more a patronizing get together. They could have released one tidbit of information ensuring public they had the right guy.

Agreed. However, we don't know what they've got on RA. It must be compelling for them to not even post bail. The May have physical, digital, or some other form of evidence on hand. It's been a very tightly run investigation.
If it's all so easy why didn't you offer your expertise in investigative techniques that would have turned where the guy lived, his clothes, and his job into an arrest in a matter of days, Sherlock?

I’m from the uk and have been following this case. I’m usually against the death penalty as I don’t think it’s right for anyone to take life. However if this guy is guilty and is therefore obviously a monster, he wants feeding to a pack of dogs. It’s hard to argue against offing someone so heinous.
Details that none of us will ever hear. Because the truths are stranger then fiction!
