KAWASAKI ZZR 1100 "D". FULL reconditioning project. Brakes, chain, aesthetics. Part 3 of 5.

I present to you a new series of videos of my project to leave a Kawasaki ZZR 1100 MODEL "D" from 1996 (D4) absolutely like new. It sat in a garage for 15 years with only 45,000 km. In this series of videos I show you all the procedures to get it back in perfect working order. The project includes a change of aesthetics and new registration due to changes in province.
In part 1 of 5 we will see the oil and filter change, its first start after 5 years of shutdown, engine compression, new spark plugs, reconditioning of the clutch pump and cylinder, cleaning of the radiator and restoration of the exhaust system.

In part 2 of 5 we will see the valve adjustment, the front fork oil change, the steering lubrication and the measurement of the thickness of the brake discs.

In part 3 of 5 we will see the reconditioning of the calipers and the brake master cylinder, the tensioning of the chain, the change of aesthetics (tank, fairings, screen, and tail), cleaning the expansion vessel and greasing the throttle cables.

In part 4 of 5 we will see the cleaning of the carburetors, the change of the gasoline filter, the installation of the air filter box with its new filter, the change of license plate, the complete polishing of the motorcycle (gas tank, fairings , dome and tail) and the internal deoxidation procedure for the gasoline tank.

And finally, in part 5 of 5, we will see an on-board test of this magnificent motorcycle, my general impressions of it, a report of this motorcycle from the time on French television with Spanish subtitles that I have prepared for you. and a summary of brutal acceleration and maximum speed tests from various videos taken from the Internet.

como siempre un genio manuel !! tengo la misma motocicleta ........ la he echo de abajo arriba totalmente nueva , ya no se que no le traje original japon , hasta los bulones pasantes del interior del motor le cambie por nuevos jajajaj , lo ultimo que no es original pero es mucho mejor , fueron unas paletas del electro ventilador de la marca muzzy de aluminio , que enfrian en segundos , es una barbaridad , tiran un caudal bestial ........es una bella enfermedad el zzr1100 ( zx11 ) .....abrazo grande desde argentina !!

los frenos es un quebradero como no marchen en condiciones ... ufff yo con una bmw k me costo.. ahora ya mas menos dominado gracias

Hola Miguel. De nada. Es la pregunta mas recurrente en este canal. La he contestado cientos de veces si ves los comentarios de mis videos. Pues los manuales de taller o los compro o si los encuentro por internet buscando y buscando los descargo. Un saludo.
