Always great Content! I do suggest ox-gard on the ends of the ignition wires. Promotes conductivity, keeps oxidation away, and allows the wires to come off easier for maintenance.
Enjoyed the video thanks! Real quick may I ask what your idol temps/traffic temps sit at? Mine are about 215-never more the 230. I hear from some it's normal idk hard to believe. Thanks in advance. 03 Z06
@@Beezy_Builds that's what I hear. Thanks for getting back. I'll be looking into the fuse tap fan mod. Nice to hear it's normal tho. Have had the Z06 now a few months and I've done everything (except water pump).
Getting the spark plug of a 1998 corvette that has never been changed is very hard to do, I do'n't want to break the plug off but the plug near the engine is hard to get to let alone will not turn with spark plug socket wrench is applied. YES car only has 65,000 mils on it rarley driven - HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I noticed that the massive alternator bracket is missing. Not sure if it's Z06 specific or because of the headers, but I am getting ready to tune my base model up and that cylinder appears to be the one that's going to give me the most trouble.
@@kfirby9066 even though you said in the video not to worry about the gap, the plugs come Pre-Gapped, I would have to say I disagree with that. Been working on cars for 30 years and I would say 30% of the time the gaps are wrong. You always check yourGAP, for a tutorial video I think that should be included as well as what the factory spec should be especially if you’re directing your videos to Newbies. Other than that, it was a great video, informative, like all your videos. I just feel that was left out.
Great vid but where is your steering wheel >?????? LOL !!!!!!!!!! I shouldn't b admitting this but i bought my 98 8 yrs ago w/ 99k and haven't changed my plugs yet. Replaced harmonic balancer & water pump almost immediately, oil sending unit went out at about 6 mo. Traction control ABS went out about same time as oil sending unit. Gonna bite the bullet and change my plugs and osu w/o removing the intake manifold really soon !!!!!
Wrap on my 04 Z06 headers is holding up good. I used stainless hose clamps and snipped the ends instead of the stainless ties. The ties don't hold very tight. But the wrap does keep it alot cooler around the AC lines and starter.

Okay not sure if you’re forgiven for being rude but what did he state that was wrong? How about some constructive criticism and corrections? Id like to know because obviously you’ve been a GM tech for 25 years.

Yes sir happy to help
great video bro, you made it easy for even Dorothy in Kansas can do it one handed. thanks for the plug tightening tip
haha thanks fam, happy you found it useful
Tight car and easy access to the spark plug, my big ass Sierra is pain in the ass to change them. GOOD JOB
haha funny a huge truck is more difficult
Great video. I went with acdelco iridiums and gmpp wires but ngk is good too.
Sounds like a solid combo!
Awesome! I go back and forth on replacing mine - car is a 04 but it only has 17k miles. Sometimes I think I just like to mess with it haha
I mean wouldnt hurt to upgrade 🤷🏾♂️ haha
@@Beezy_Builds Nope!
Don't forget to torque at 11ft/lbs guys
I like this intro better...good vid

I was able to get a torque wrench on mine, been down the bad side of that road don't wanna go back.

I forget exact temp but it is around the same 100% normal but a 160 degree thermostat, and a tune to turn on your fans quicker with fix that easily

Its what the z06 came with, you could just take off the alternator it frees up alot of space
Good advice!
Appreciate ya
Thanks for the tutorial

Bosch? Bro? What? Nah
Actual? How’d you find them?
Either ac delco or NGK surely?
I have a link in the description to them
