When you dont have a team car following you when on a ride, Hutchinson Challenger Road Endurance Tyre Tan Wall 700 x 28 need to be on this list, they look great, roll really well, decent protection, nice weight!

I’m becoming rather frustrated at the cost of bike tyres these days, not because I can’t afford them but the asking price for the GP5000 and Vittoria Corsa pro is the same as car tyres, it’s just ridiculous, as a result I refused to by the GP5000 this time and have just tried a pair of S-Works Turbo 2BR T2/T5 in 28mm on my Roval Rapide wheels, 28mm, according to rolling resistance they are not as fast as the GP5000 but in the real world with normal riders I honestly can’t feel any difference in speed whatsoever, they have far better puncture protection than the GP5000 and better wet grip, and in a 28mm mine weighed in at 274 grams each, so lighter than claimed, oh and I got the pair with a bit of discount fir the price of one GP5000! I know which tyres I’m sticking to in the future!
