Oh Edmonton is shaking off the loss in the cup last season. They have the most potential. As a Chicago fan living in SJ, Edmonton all of the way.
The defence needs some work, hopefully they're fine-tuned for the season opener. It would be great to see the Oilers off to a strong start this year.

I want to see what the 1st10 games of the regular season brings. I think the boys were playing it really safe to all be healthy and ready for day 1. Long road ahead to get back to the dance. 100% confident in the Coaches and the team to continue to get better

Team looked off . Connor looked like a regular NHLer a rare sight. Noah earned a spot. Brown didn’t impress and definitely not required. Vinny is missed more than I thought he would be. Team has 5 days to get back in playing mode. Last years start is not needed. Thanks for the update
You are correct Patrick it's the regular season that means the most! Let's GO OILERS. We definitely don't need a start like last season, but if these guy's look like they did last season expect a shit storm! Counting that Jack Campbell comes out the other side with a fresh start. Appreciate the rundown Patrick. Guess we will see where things really stand when the games mean something. Though I'm a little surprised that I did not hear Jeff Skinner's name more often. If I am him, I'd be aiming to score 10 goals a game, every game. He will never play with guys like Drai and McD in his life ever again

Most of these guys were still playing in June. Short break, and back at it, while most other teams had 5 months off.
And on top of that they lost speed/energy up front, as well as Broberg, who I thought proved himself in the playoffs.
Personally, I don’t think the Oilers will even make the playoffs with the personnel they have now. I hope I’m wrong!

Not really!! Broberg was mistake waiting 2 happen each time he was out on the ice.
They need guys that do body checks!!!! Too many opponents just pass by them at the center and the blue line or watch as their buddies get cheap shots, especially the superstars.
We aren’t going to do to many body checks in prev season…arvidsson is a good hitter and so is caguilla!…when Kane comes back he’s also good at hitting!
Defence is still out Achilles heel I’m afraid. Skinner isn’t fitting in well either. If he can score a few then critics will be silenced. Philp will go down once Ryan is healthy.

It'll be best case scrnario if derek ryan ends up on LTIR, and with Brown sent down. EDM might br able to keep all thr current players on the starting roster

Lavoie rotating in and out with Perry, there isnt much for Lavoie to improve on at AHL LEVEL and the chance of him getting claimed on waiver is quite high
I'd rather have Raph Lavoie and Derek Ryan and the 4RW and Perry is punted to the Bake.
Still not good goaltending defense has gotten worse and a lot of speed gone.
Oilers got a piss poor team this year they have gone to small and no grit no one to stick up for the players

The D has looked terrible. I hope that Emberson will have some chemistry with Nurse, but it's not fair to count on an entry level contract player to prop up your $9.25M Dman.
They looked good together in the Canuck game…none of the Canuck’s star forwards got any goals…just defensemen and a power play goal!…I’m sure they will gel!
Oilers needs more grit they need to fine some more big guys they are gone to small Ryan needs to be gone and perry oilers are to small man so who do they have to stick up for the players
Ryan should go down and keep Lavoie up. Perry realisticly should only suit up for 1/2 the games. He doesn't have the speed, even if his hands are still good.
